I think the dimples are our Siatic Nerves...spelling please excuse it!
They are quite lovely....

They are not your sciatic nerves; although they are in the general region, the sciatic nerves are much lower, running out of your ass and down the back of your thigh. The PSIS's are parts of your pelvic bones; the dimples landmark their location.
