So the UK thinks they can off load their British born Jihady onto Canada.

I say No Way. He’s a Brit who has visited Canada 7 times since his father is Canadian. The Brits are putting us in a position of having to take responsibility. Leave him in Syria to be with his brotherhood in prison.

Although I supported Khadr getting a settlement because he had his Canadian rights violated; a comparison to Jack Lett is not even close. Lett is a Brit who happened to have a Canadian father.

Hey I’ve visited the UK many times and have living relatives who are British. No way would I call myself a Brit by association.

We need to make sure no one blinks and let’s this guy in Canada. His quarrel is with the British Home office.

I don't think this is about the Brits dumping him on us as much as we have no policy or legislation in place regarding our citizens engaging in international terrorism that I'm aware of. Perhaps its time that we do there is a chance he could end up here and it could be another schemozzel like the Kadir affair which no doubt cost the public a great sum of money.

You nailed it right there.It is a 2 pronged problem.He left Britain as a British National to join ISIS and he had secondary Canadian Citizenship because his father is Canadian yet he lived his whole life in Britain.The UK Government just made him "persona non grata" and threw the problem at Canada.I would not be surprised that if Trudeau gets re-elected that 3 years down the road ol Jihadi Jack gets sprung from prison and then gets 10 Million from the Government just like Omar Kadr got.

Hey this rings right in with the "who would you vote for" thread.....tack the past and the soon to be future as another black mark on the Trudeau record of Governance....the whole Omar Kadr affair when he got transferred to Canada and then sued the Government and the convicted terrorist got handed 10+ million......FFS that makes the money the RCMP paid to Clifford Olsen for the bodies seem like chump change.

Trudeau had no problem with it though....with forking over 10+ Million of tax payer money and giving him an "apology".

I believe it was the government of Teresa May that revoked this guy's British citizenship. We in Canada didn't notice it until after Boris took over.

I don't think the British were thinking they would unload the piece of shit on Canada, they just wanted him not to be a British Citizen....

My opinion on this is that these people that went and fought for the ISIS organization should be shot and killed. Our life in the western world is good, better than most in the world. And being a religious fanatic should not part of the western culture now.

Out of misplaced (feelings, sense of adventure or whatever) they went over and fought for an organization that raped and killed innocent people and defaced ancient monuments. Sure maybe they didn't do those things themselves, but they are guilty by association.

And now they want to return...

As there is no guarantee that the people (whether men or women and babies) coming back from ISIS won't try and do the same things here in Canada...
