Dear Perb community,

I just learned that my mother has been diagonised with breast cancer. So I would like to request that the perb community take a moment today honour the beautiful women in their lives by posting on either their facebook accounts, twitter accounts or here on the board the pink ribbion in honour of all those who have been diagonsed with breast cancer, survived the battle with it or have had their life flame extinguished by it.

Thank you for you support and hopefull we will find a cure for not just breast cancer but all cancers.

Big hugs Homericles its so tough to hear this kind of news remember what Hunka said it isnt a death sentence ...
This will be my 4th year doing the Terry Fox Run ...I remember the first time I did it with my son he rode his bike and I ran ...because it was my first time I had no idea that everybody merges into one big group ....I eneded up getting seperated from my son and he did the whole thing on his own ...I was so worried ...I thought he would pull over at a check stop but he just keep going ...we did meet up at the finish line with big hugs ...

Thank you kindly for the thoughtful words. It was a difficult thing to hear. At this point I am just so thankful to live in a country like Canada where we have social medicine. I have heard some many tragic stories of people who have been diagonised with cancer and have lost everything because they have to put all their money to beat this disease.
