Brandis closing after 26 yrs.

I'll bet Swedish Touch will be soon closing its doors due to this news. Pretty sure the Touch got a good percentage of business from Brandis.
What they should do is find another location and work side by side. Obviously, If it's affordable and both entities are financially successful. If so, why wouldn't they?

Strip clubs are a dying business. Once Brandi's closes there will be just the No 5 and Penthouse left. Who even goes to strip clubs anymore? I last went probably 10 years ago and I felt like I was getting hustled. Never understood why people pay so much for a lap dance when you can pay a bit more and actually get FS or HS

Many dancers won't escort. Some make the leap, but a ton of them view dancing and escorting as two very different things and get very upset if you make assumptions that dancing means they will offer take out as well. There's a long list of dancers I would love to jump the fence and start offering sessions privately.

These days, I'd agree,... lapdances are way too much considering the alternatives.

Back in the day, I'd just lay down 20 after 20 until we were practically dry-fucking with our clothes on, but that was the "culture" 20-30 years ago.... These days you have to spend twice the cost of a real provider's hourly rates and hope they'd be into giving you that secret reach-around before 'Bubba' inspects through the curtain. To be fair, the idea of "Stripping" is more of an art and experience, than a service. You come to these places for the show, not window-shopping and hope they're for "rent" (even though renting can happen, you can't expect it all the time).

I'm sure Swedish Touch got some business from Brandis however Brandis didn't really get busy till 11 pm and Swedish Touch had to close by 12 midnight. That is still the current bylaw. So maybe some guys went up at 10 pm and came down at 11 pm for a looksie. Doesn't mean the guys from upstairs decided to stay at the Touch. Most of the day Swedish Touch was open and Brandis wasn't. And there were times when Brandis was only open on Fridays and Saturdays, Swedish Touch was open every day. So I don't entirely agree that Swedish Touch entirely depended on Brandis for their existence. Swedish Touch moved into that current building at 595 Hornby in 1998. The strip club opened shortly thereafter, one floor above. It opened as Millenium Club, then Level 5, then Brandis. I can't remember if it opened as a strip club first. I think they opened as a dance club first. Brandy owned both businesses. She owned Swedish Touch then came onto Brandis later. That is where the problems started for Brandy. And we all know the tragic ending but I won't discuss that. I guess initially there was a feeling that having both businesses in the same building would be mutually beneficial. Swedish Touch had to move cause 581 Hornby was demolished to make way for the current Le Soleil hotel. So Swedish Touch had to move, they had no choice. Then later the strip club opened above.
