I am raising this topic in relation to cyberjim's comment at the end of his Geegee review.

Personally I have booked and then cancelled appointments due to a few reasons: 1) I book ahead and then end up having a work commitment that interferes with a scheduled appointment, 2) I book ahead and then end up getting sick before the scheduled appointment, 3) I book but then find information that they are not who they say they are, do not provide services they say they will, or read a negative/cautionary review. Under all circumstances I cancel with as much notice as possible.

I hate when escorts no show or cancel last minute on me, so I try not to waste their time either.

:DI have not cancelled or no-showed ever. Only once in the last several years has a lady no showed on me.

It was on my birthday! I was really upset and did not take it well, made an ass of myself and ruined a good relationship.

Don't make the same mistake I did guys! I should have cut her some slack instead of being an ass.

Westwoody you are not alone on the birthday front. The last two birthdays that I have booked appointments, I had escorts cancel giving me an hour or less notice. I don't plan on trying again because it affected my mood for the rest of the day.

Oh wow that's even worse. I took it as a sign from the heavens: time to quit.

Maybe not eh? We will see.

You are not alone on this one either

Staying away from known flakes should be good enough to avoid most disappointments. Obviously, things happen (emergencies, lost phones). That's life. If it's isolated and the communication keeps going, I can understand.

I had a well documented exchange with a reputable lady on this board who bailed on me last minute.
This was a year or so ago and she had a good reason (after the fact) but I didn't appreciate how she handled the situation and the communication in real time was not what I expected.
This lady is still active here and gets good reviews so it was just bad circumstances I guess.

Probably 6-7 years ago I had a top notch provider bail on me within minutes of the appointment via text message in the spirit of "I have to cancel, I cut my finger when cutting fruit".
I was totally bummed and frankly didn't buy the story.

Both were repeats btw.

I once set up an appointment two weeks on advance for a Sunday with a provider whom I have visited several times. On Sundays, she will book at most a single person (on her site, she list ~3 hours availability window on Sundays). A couple of days prior, I checked if we were still on schedule and we were. On the day, I send a text message ~15 minutes before the appointment to indicate I was in the area and will be arriving soon. I didn't get a response, though, so I thought she was getting ready herself. At the door, I buzz her in-suite but no response. I tried again and, once again, nothing. To avoid looking suspicious, I walk away and call her number. No response. Hmmmm... I go to a nearby coffee shop and wait for her to call me. After all, between calls, voicemails and text messages, she would certainly notice. Alas, I gave up after ~30 minutes.

Later that night, the provider replied my email. What ended up happening was that she wasn't feeling well the morning off and thought she just needed a nap. She ended up taking a longer than expected nap while she set the phone to buzz rather than ring. As a result, she didn't notice my calls/voicemails. Because we have had a good rapport, she apologized and asked if I would be available a couple of days later. And, to make up for it, the session would be free. I appreciated her honesty and paid in full when we met later that week.

On the flip side, there was a provider whom I have visited previously and booked ahead of time as well. On the day of the appointment, similar to the above, I send a text message to inform I was on my way. However, the reply I got was really confusing: She denied I made an appointment and she couldn't accommodate with such short notice. I was a bit pissed as her in-suite was a bit out of the way. I didn't say anything else other than thanks for taking my call and I removed her from my list right away.

Women can have a lot of pressure and stress that we have no idea about.

They don't have sick days in their union contract.

They might really need cash and commit to more than they can handle. Or they could be going through a slow patch and this is their first call in a while. They are human, nobody is perfect.

I have had girls show up a few hours later but they were regulars and I understand that things get in the way .It is frustrating but I still accept it .

That one reason I don't book days in advance .I try to get someone with unique a few hours of the time I can see them. Sometimes there is talk about seeing them a day or to before to see there availability ,but I don't make an appointment because I don't know if i will be available untill a few hours before.
And who knows when the actually will be horny or feel like seeing some one.

Thatso why I don't even consider seeing any of her ladies that what pre booking days or weeks in advance. Does not work for me.

yes it is a different type of service which will come with daily inconsistencies due to the changing product environment (the body, mood, etc)

not unlike a fine dining restaurant which has daily specials, fluctuation in terms of freshness of food products, seasonality, which chef is there or not there on a given night

need to have some give and take with providers in this industry to prevent being let down, most of the good providers have consistent attitude and appreciate it when their customers accommodate some of their daily issues

bit of slack, kindness, understanding helps smooth the waters with them even when its not your fault a last minute change occurs

I think there's a problem with women not taking this "job" seriously, and not being professional. Certainly at any other job, especially a customer service job, one would not behave this way. I've certainly never had my hairstylist or nail tech, waxing lady or masseuse just simply not show up or cancel at the last minute. Especially since in a lot of cases the appointment is something the client has been looking forward to for days or weeks even. It happens that one gets sick, as one gent mentioned above, but certainly you would advise the person as early as possible. That being said, I have had clients cancel at the last moment and once in a very blue moon no show. I have always been understanding in certain circumstances but to me a no-show is always unforgivable as it shows an obvious lack of respect for my time.

For me it's a double edged sword wanting to see part timers, students, single moms and having to be flexible with their own set of reasons to cancel or delay at the last minute. I tend to book a week or more in advance having carved out one afternoon for playtime.

Sometimes all works out well and sometimes I get blueballed for a week. I've learned to count on a few providers who don't bail so often.

I also have conference calls proposed last minute that throw a wrench in my plans too. I recall during the summer being parked, on my laptop and listening to a WebEx on my phone right outside the incall. It made me late but still fashionably late hehe.

For those providers who think it's possible to book elsewhere on a moments notice, you are wrong it just doesn't work that way. Carving out 3 hours from a 50+ hour work week takes to advance planning so there are expectations the SP will be ready close to the booked time.

Bailing without a call, text or email is just wrong. People need to be be more considerate of each other's personal time. Simply a case of good manners IMHO. Never done that and I shudder to think about just not showing up.

Either way... yes, things come up suddenly.... and *could' be forgivable.. to a point... but whoever it is that 'bails' and/or pulls a no-show ...no word/call.. nothing.. wow.. just.... wow.. I'm a pretty easy going cat <grin>... but one thing aside from assholes in general.. that I cannot stand.. is rudeness and general lack of respect ;)

I've had only one cancellation. Luckily I know her from earlier and she called me well in advance that something came up and if it was okay for me to re-book.

I was late to this same person once as well. I put the wrong time in my calendar, so 10 minutes of me no-showing, she called asking if I was okay. I was Oh Shit, I will be right over. So my session was cut short but I paid for a full session.

I generally pay in advance, I only see women I know and trust.
So I am definitely going to be there!

In general, I have received notice of cancellations, either a day or two in advance or the same day in the morning. However, I have also, at times, seen escorts, regularly or exclusively, that have terrible time management, so they are either chronically late, consistently changing the appointment time or the worst would be when I would text that I had arrived and I would get the 'I forgot' response. Like Badboy, I have work constraints that don't allow me always to reschedule.
I am wondering regarding clients who no show escorts, is it a fetish thing that they get off on booking appointments or simple assholes with no intention of showing up?

In Winnipeg it is mostly deliberate by local gangster pimps and their girls.
They consider touring ladies intruders on their turf.
I have heard this directly from local girls who want to "fuck them over".
And there is one guy I know of who has a hate on for a particular touring lady and tries to sabotage her visits.

....I'm more inclined to go with the asshole theory ;)
