Bolts or Bruins if we advance to the finals?

Assuming no significant injuries to Tampa or Boston, which team would we have a better chance of beating.?

Tampa has a hot goalie in Roloson and their top 3 forwards of Stamkos, St.Louis and Vinny are dangerous.

boston has a decent goalie. A huge dman in Chara and decent forwards.

Personally I don't like jumping ahead on matters such as these.

Some stupid friend of mine asked, after the Canucks beat Chicago 2-0 in the opening game of their series this year, I checked and no one has ever gone 16-0 on their way the Cup.

Well it's all just too goofy and frankly it don't matter who they play. They are a better team all around than all of them. Doesn't mean they're going to win but sure gives 'em a good chance.

Personally I'd rather they beat Boston because it's an orig six franchise.

It's more of an arguement bout choosing your poison if and when we get there.

Do we want to face a team that's has great offensive attack in Tampa

Or a team that is tough on Defense like Nashville in Boston.

Personally I rather face Tampa, might be more exciting

Let's just play it one game at a time.
And we'll give it 110 percent.
Absolutely :D

FWIW

I think the Lightning would be a more exciting series if our top lines are going flat out. Fast and skillful.

Bruin hockey is more smash mouth and people would be howling about the non calls from the zebras.

Goaltending on both teams is pretty solid most nights. Sort of like ours ;)

Tampa's 1-3-1 system will put you to sleep...

I agree with you whole heartedly; everyone noticed how Preds shut down the Canuck offense with that tight checking defensive game, if we play Boston they'll try that also. if we play TBay it'll be more scoring and better hockey.
Either way, I predict a big parade is happening in Vancouver come june

Been a Canucks fan since we both came into the world so I know not to look ahead like that.

Thomas is good but not that good. He stands on his head and then lets in softies...sounds familiar, doesn't it. Boston's entire team is like a 3rd line of grinders. I would prefer to see Canucks face them because it would be a much more physical series. Canucks are just too deep for most teams. Their depth is everywhere...goaltending, defense, forwards. I see Boston getting frustrated and spending alot of time killing penalties against Vancouver.

I do expect it to be a Vancouver - Boston final.
+1 We can casually roll out any line and get results. Fantastic hockey! lol

Talk to me about the next series after the Canucks win this one. I have been a fan since the came in the league and know better than to look to far ahead. You would have to have a very short memory to forget that the Canucks were up 3 - 0 with Chicago...

Looks like the Bruins of Beantown are joining the winning tradition, following in the footsteps of the Celtics and the Red Sox. As with the Celtics last year against the showtime LA Lakers, making it to the finals won't look so bad. :)

Go Canucks!! :) :)

You're going to be facing Boston, simply because they're better than TB. I have no idea how Tampa even got this far. With Boston you're going to be facing a physical game. That team got by us, Montreal, after we were up two games to nil in the first round. We had more skill but they had more physical presence such as Chara. Watch out for Chara! He's like what 7 feet tall or something ridiculous like that.

I'd worry more about Lucic.
Chara is big but I like the way Raffi's been standing up to bigger guys.
ask Seabrook, Murray and Thornton…all have received the Wrath of Raffi and likely
will be repeated once more if Boston wants to play tough.

I wonder why nobody has mentioned both eastern teams beat us this year?
I thought all the haters would love that?

Sorry to piss in your rice crispies but the Van-SJ series is not over yet....there is still over 2 perios to play....personally I am cheering for SJ as I have $100 riding on the canucks losing.

If the canucks win the series well lets look at it...Tampa Bay has a fast team and a lot of skill and Roloson(former flames goalie) is hot so it could go either way....as for Boston....well when it comes down to it if Chara starts squashing the sedin's/kessler/burrows and anybody else like bugs and the rest of the Bruins follow suit then the canucks are dead on the slab.

Tampa Bay or Boston I dont care...I just want the canucks to lose so I can spend $100 of my brothers money at Sugarland or risk it at a craps table LOL

GO Sharks....Go Bruins/Bolts....just defeat the canucks and get me free pooning money :)

I would much rather see Vancouver beat Boston than Tampa.
The Bruins are a real team with hockey history.

Besides, I want Don Fucking Cherry to suffer.

Love it. My laugh of the day. Thanks Oldfart....Cherry drives me crazy. INcapable of saying anything good about our Vancouver Canucks. McLean keeps floating him softballs but he doesn't swing. Fucking moron. Can't wait till he retires. His best before date is LONG expired.
Yah me too! Last time Vancouver played the Laughs in 1994 playoffs Cherry drove me nuts. I wrote a letter to CBC complaining about his one sided BS. My last line was if you are going to keep in on staff, at least dress him up in a maple leaf clown suit and give him some pom poms.

Beating an original six team would be sweet.
