hi health nurse, long time lurker here. not sure if you can help me, but a while back i had a motorcycle crash. ended up getting surgury for a broken arm and had some pretty bad road rash. they did several blood tests looking for infection. im assuming nothing came up in the tests, but was just curious on what sort of infections they test for? not worried about anything but just forgot to ask and have been curious. thanks alot

Its hard to know what type of blood tests they did.
There is a good chance they did tests that would be only relevant to your emergency situation. Sometimes they will take the oportunity to check for things like HIV and hepatitis C if it is someone who is homeless and does not have a family doctor, if someone mentions a high risk activity or if it is relevant to your emergency situation. Hard to say as every situation is different. Since you had surgery they may have done more tests for you.
If they had a way of contacting you there is a good chance they would of called you if they did a test and it was positive for something.
You can get your medical records but since it sounds like this was a while ago it would be much easier just to go for another test if you had a concern.
