Why is it that many of the sp say they will not responed to blocked numbers? is this cell phone, are these numbers blocked ?

The reason for that is that friends or family could be calling because they found out about their business, or another reason would be that some guys like to make appointments, and then give you the wrong number and not show up, it just screws up the schedule for the rest of the day.. I dont understand why they just dont call to cancel...lol

I would be worried about my privacy if I was not to use an unblocked
number.

If we accept blocked numbers we also accept a 50% no show rate. I will still give out the information, but I won't accept them for bookings, and I now get zero no-shows. That's the difference! Besides, if they are up to no good, what do I tell the cops, that I let someone come to my home that I know absolutely nothing about?
I feel for guys who worry about their privacy but not enough to screw myself!! That's all.
And yes the one handed dialers always block their number so they can bother us time and time again.

One problem, many cell services come up as a blocked number, even if you don't block it (mine does), unless you pay for a call display service. To get around this, I usually leave a message if the lady doesn't answer calls from a blocked number, leaving my cell number for her to call. Its has worked with some, but some others never call back....
One problem with assuming unblocked numbers are OK is that you can borrow a land line in almost any business, and it won's show as blocked, and does the SP no good having that number...

Have never figured this one out.
Not many months ago, called a lady, who advertises, from my hotel room ..never left my room number, but she called me later. How could that be? Caller ID would give the hotel number, but room #???????
BTW ..I was sober! I know I never left a room # or name. lol

There are a couple of hotels (upscale) that give you the option of dialing the room number when you dial the hotel. I don't think caller ID can show a room .... maybe the lady talked to the operator to find out what room called out. I also found out that some ladies have something going with certain guys at the front desk. Maybe that is how she knew the room #.
