Bloc Mp refusing flag request

It was reported in the Toronto Sun today that on of the "blockhead" mps from quebec denied a request from war vets for a canadian flag for the upcoming Remembrance day.

It's seems this ignorant pig forgot what kind of sacrifice these people made for their country as this guy enjoys the freedom courtesy of our war veterans.

I really don't understand how these Members of Parliament.....Canadian Parliament!!!!............ can justify this BS to themselves.

Perhaps they should extend their protest of all things Canada to include refusing to cash their paycheques issued by our vile country!! As a proud Canadian I can honestly say that this type of nationalistic posturing pisses me off to no end.

The lily-livered Quebecois behaviour is totally predictable. Not only do too many folk from that province not support Canada, MOST would not fight to save it (Quebeckers were notoriously unsupportive during both world wars). Makes one wonder if they would do anything when faced with invasion - probably pull a Vichy France and roll over!

Oh well, the vets will receive their flags - delivered by Stephen Harper. I realize that this appears to be a blatant photo-op / attempt to curry Quebec's favour, BUT - ya gotta admit that the Tories are at least trying (as opposed to the "head in sand Liberals").

If my History serves me right, I think Quebec put up a Hell of fight to not have their citizen's conscripted into WW I and WW II.

Thanks for coming out. The ones that did, have my Blessings. I lost a few family members in both Wars. These were people from the Heart Land of Canada. Men and women who grew up on the farm with nothing and worked hard to make a living, and then served overseas in Africa, Italy, Germany and France.

Some came home, some didn't.

Thats true. However the Bloc could run in every Province of which they would be defeated in every Province but they would still hold the same number of seats that they in enjoy in Quebec regardless.

If your saying they should still have to run in every Province and at least go through motions. I like that i idea at least it would make them waste their dollars on something that would really be futile. --- Kev

I lived in Montreal back during the '93 election. Most Quebecer's don't support separation, but they know that if they cry separation once in a while that the government will throw tons of monet at them.

An aside, I enter quite a few of the internet lotteries. The ones that are worldwide all say that they can be played except in North Korea, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Libya and Quebec.
