Speaking of Earl's...my favorite type of venue is a Bikini Bar...I wish the servers could be naked....I would prefer this...but a bikini bar with just genitals and nipples covered is an acceptable alternative. Do any of you have experience with Bikini bars and could you reccomend one.

The Texas T on Ogden looks interesting...Any other reccomendations.

I have been to the Texas T only once. IMHO nobody is missing much on the bikini bar scene by never having had a chance to go there.....

I used to frequent Studio 82 quite often a few years back, but I haven't been there in quite a while. The quality of the ladies working could be hit-and-miss sometimes, but there was usually at least one attractive one working. Had a bit of a reputation for things to happen in the back room occasionally (*wink-wink*) but I never had the opportunity to endulge.

Don't know if it is still run like this, but there are only a couple of servers working at any one time, and all of the other ladies hanging around make money solely by having guys pay for "private" dances (behined a flimsy curtain in a corner with a small stage). If you are willing to pay $20 per song, then the ladies might sit at your table and chat you up a bit (read: try to get more money out of you). And (predictably) the ladies usually only talk to the older business types wearing suits or khakis and golf shirts (why waste time with young guys that probably couldn't afford to buy a few songs?)

Got to know a few of the ladies, and even had one invite me over to her place :D after chatting (and drinking) with me, and dancing for me all night. Hopefully it is still a fun place to go for a few (slightly overpriced) drinks and oggle some good looking ladies wearing next to nothing. The "amateur" night used to be good too. Occasionally a girl who had been having a few too many would get up on stage and start flashing some skin. Against the rules, but obviously to the enjoyment of the crowd.

Thought I read a post a little while back that Studio 82 was no longer a bikini bar, just a sports bar. That would be a shame. Good location (for me) and good fun too! Anyway, just my 2 cents as always.

I have never been to Studio 82...If it is still that much fun I'd love to check it out!!! :)

I know a young lady (girl named Kim) who used to be the head waitress at S82 in 2002/03.

When were you there? I wonder if she's one of your backstage babes?

Hmmm... My last visit there was slightly before 2002/03 ( I said I hadn't been there in a while! ;) ), so it may not be the same woman. At one point I know there was a head waitress with brown hair in her early 30s, but I don't remember if her name was Kim. The place had been "cleaned up" a lot by the time I left, and if we are thinking of the same woman, she seemed much too concerned that the business should run smoothly and that the other women working stayed in-line to take part in anything on the side. Nice woman though, always friendly and had a knack for remembering people. Perhaps I will go back again soon and see what the place is like......

I think there is a bikini bar just off Mcknight blvd across from the airplane museum. Has anyone been there or even know of where it is Im talking about ?

I think there is one on the corner of 1 St. and 12 Ave(?) S.W. (upstairs). I can't remember the name for the life of me at the moment (the Attic? Hmmm...), and I was only in there once back in '99. I think it was when it was just starting up. There was only one girl working at the time, and she was both waitress and bartender. She was young and quite cute, although I haven't had a chance to go back since to see if it is still the same. Anybody else been there?

The gravity Room. Dubious quality and clientel. However had frequented it in the past and seen some rather full on lap dancing going on from one of the girls (ie lots and lots of contact for both parties). Be advised that the establishment is well known to LE for other reasons

I have never been to a bikini bar and wouldnt mind checking one out. This one is sort of one my way home. I wouldnt mind checkin it out but certainly dont want to go somewhere Im not going to fit in. Im a mid thirties white collar kinda guy so I wouldnt want to go somewhere with a seedier element

I don't think you would be out of place at COCO's. .. Lots of the sales reps from companies in the NE stop there for lunch or on their way home.

ps. I was talking to one of the guys I work with today about Coco's, he said they make the best war(?) wonton soup in the city.. I think thats what he called it
