I recently got the Bose QuietComfort QC35
I first bought the Sony MDR-1000X the biggest challenger to the Bose for top dog in NC headphones but had to return it due to how heavy and uncomfortable they were after an hour or so of use. I will say the NC to me is better than the Bose and the sound quality was supreme in the Sony. Too bad they don't have the comfort down, plus you need to bring your paired device with you all the time just to use the Noise cancellation part. Which seems like a burden to me. There was no way to unpair it and bring it for a walk and use NC. None

The Bose sound signature is boring, flat, no wonder so many people who are into quality headphones slam them. However the comfort and Noise cancellation quality is really good. I could wear these for hours and not have discomfort. You could also just use the NC part without taking your paired device with you. Big plus

I wish the Bose's had the Sony's sound and features. The Sony had this feature where its takes into account whether you wear glasses and adjust volume of NC to compensate. Bose has none of this and you just have to wear the headphones more snug.

Its such a noisy world out there that after using these headphones its hard to quit on them. So thats why I thought 350.00 for something I will use everyday seems to be a good purchase. I wish I could turn off my hearing at times.
