I am so jealous of how this young lady speaks. I was born in HK and than grew up in Brooklyn NY so its a wonder how anyone can stand to hear my crappy accents. Chin Tak Lok and than Whats up Vinny? :rolleyes:

I need charm school as well.

i could never understand the british and australian accent. funny how its supposed to be deemed 'proper' english, but to me their accent just butchers every vowel in the book to something it isnt.

example : the word - today. we pronounce it too-deh. the ozzies? tuh-die. since when did the letter A start being pronounced like an I?? did i miss something in highschool? lol

example 2 : the word - hamburger. we pronounce it ham-burrr-gurrr. the ozzies? ham-bug-ah. so, the letter R is now silent, and the letter E now becomes an A pronounced short.

by the way, that girl that the OP posted in the video has a lower class servant English accent.

You wanna hear proper British accent, listen to the Queen's Royal Christmas messages. Almost flawless and absent from any regional accents.

strange that in a country so small there are so many very different accents.

I know "class" and "station in life" factor into the matter.

one thing i've noticed, no matter how broad the english accent, when an english person sings who has been trained in singing, the accent disappears and they sound just like a canadian... :confused:
