Longtime local broadcaster David Berner was recently fired from CKNW. He was just doing a few hours on the weekends, but it was local and he dealt with many issues of interest to Lower Mainlanders. This continues NW's downward spiral for me. Their local content has evaporated in favour of canned BBC broadcasts and shitty foreigners (Winnipeg!) like Adler. I almost never listen to the station any more. Their ratings continue to hold, but I think that is a combination of people not changing stations and having no where else to go for talk radio. I tune in to CBC radio more and more.

Berner was an arrogant pissfuck; never heard such a delusional self-promoting name dropper.
Peter Warren, I could barely stomach, but at the very least he had some good causes, and I respected him for being his own man, even if his gravelly voice was like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard. But he's gone now too.
I used to be a regular listener, but I tune in mostly to my CD player these days.

Going to that Charles Adler show in the afternoon from Toronto, I think, is a BIG mistake. That show is so bad it forced me to flip over to CBC and try to listen to those "flat-earth" socialists in the afternoon. shudder!!!!
