Take good care of its hygiene and softness, and don't use it as steel wool to rub against the delicate bits. You'll be fine 
It really depends on the beard. Nice soft facial hair is actually better than a sand paper five o’clock shadow. If you have bristly facial hair, invest in some nice beard oil. And hygiene is paramount for any kind of extras. Look nice (I don’t mean features you’re born with), smell nice, be nice and the worlds yours 💕
