BC Farmers tax credit for food given to charity

This is a good idea. BC supermarkets have been getting a tax credit for the food they give the food banks for a few years now. It's time that farmers can give surplus food to food banks rather than dumping it.

I agree sdw, a good idea.

Although I'm struck with the thought it's a shame that consideration of the less advantaged and under employed (read: generosity, consideration and compassion) must be aided by tax breaks, rather than an underlying good will.
