I find this rather an interesting perspective. Especially Pakistan being the only country (in the survey) that suggested they would prefer Romney as President of the US.

That's funny because Obama and the US Military was on to the Pakistani Bullshit going on.

IMHO they would be better with the Devil they know . . . . . ..

The poll makes perfect sense, each country wants the President that would best serve its own interests not those of the American voters.

The above poll simply suggests that the international community believes that the state of the American economy affects world economics and with Obama contuining as US President they see stabilization and further growth. They learned their lesson from GW Bush.

Lots of Europeans see the gop more of a religious party.
Even many Christian Europeans think American Christians are nuts. Ie the young earthers, anti-evolutionists.
Many Europeans are also not interested in another war in the middle east.

I had this conversation with a friend who said Republicans will view this poll as a positive to Romney's position of 'tough foreign policy'. The only problem with this barely sampled poll is that the one area of huge contention and foreign policy is pro-Romney and that is Pakistan. The fact that the one South Asian/Middle Eastern border country is pro-Romney is largely damaging to this statement and ultimately a statistic that any good political practitioner would avoid.

If you were to read the Arab newspapers and listen to the Arab media they are all extremely pro Obama.

On a lighter note :

Remember that Obama has stepped up the drone bomb attacks on Pakistani territory (with the usual "collateral damage" of dead and maimed innocents) well beyond what Bush did in that country. It is not surprising that Pakistanis are not in favour of Obama's policies.
