Stating that there is risk in everything is not an argument to disregard common sense precautions.


None of these precautions will ever be 100% safe; however, more times than not they have saved people's lives.

You said it yourself, nothing is 100% safe, so why increase the odds against you by disregarding common sense safety features like seat belts and condoms?

Actually, I don't believe I tried to make any such argument and I'm sorry if this is what transpired from my post. It was not at all the point I was trying to make. All I'm saying is:


1- The whole 'I heard from who read about it that my next door neighbour's sister did....' is bs and anyone of us can simply just make up all kinds of friends who've done all kinds of things, in order to shock or create fear. That is ignorant.


2- No matter what you say, the fact remains that statistics & odds are all great, but what if you're on the shitty end of those statistics.. do you give a shit what your odds were? No.

I'm not making any kind of argument to the effect that CBJ is not safer than BBBJ. I'd be a fool. Given the odds, yes, CBJ is safer. But not safest. Safest is masturbation. And that is why I think the whole finger pointing is pointless. A provider who does only CBJ could very possibly get an STD while another who does BBBJ (YMMV) might, by luck, by chance, or just good odds, not catch anything herself.

Is the opposite more likely to happen? Yes, those are the odds. But that scenario can happen just as well. Not because the odds are in your favor that things will go the way they are most likely to. And that's why I'm bringing this up; not to give an argument either way (CBJ & BBBJ) but for ppl to take their heads out of the sand and deal with the fact that even if the odds are not the same, the possible outcome is the same.

And should this be what happens (std) to you, the last thing you'll give a shit about, is how good your odds were.
