Well, according to those stats. For Chlamydia NT, YT and MB are the highest. Which I think backs up my theory.

For Gonorrhea, the three highest are: NT, MB and AB, with NT being a huge outlyer on the data... again I think this backs up what I was saying.

For Syphillis, the higest rates are in YT, BC then ON.

So on all three of these... the leader is either the Yukon Territy or the Northwest Territories, and in the case of Chlamydia they are 1-2. That all accords with my own experience. A buddy of mine from school was living in Yellowknife last year, and from what he was telling me it was the same kind of thing up there that I was describing.

This graph/link you provided noted that to date cases were higher in Quebec than BC except for infectious syphilis.

Actually, that's not right either. It shows that Quebec's rates for 2003 and 2004 were 2.1 and 3.6 per 100,000 people. The corresponding rates for BC were 6.3 and 8.6.

Nonsense!! Quebec's rates for STI's are lower than the national average for chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis, and WAY lower than BC's rates.
