Not really. The risk is vastly great with a SP. It doesn't matter how well they "take care of themselves", and it doesn't matter how well they are reviewed. If they are having unprotected oral sex with lots of guys, there is a high chance they are infected with herpes or HPV, according to good data. Testing is useless, because 1) it may not show HPV or herpes and 2) it takes up to two months before many STIs even show up in a test. Bottom line, it's a terrible idea to receive a BBBJ from a sex trade worker, and it's ill mannered to ask a girl to take that risk for you. Have some class. Follow ALL established healthcare guidelines, and use a condom.

I feel safer getting a BBBJ from an SP than from a random girl I meet at a bar or nightclub. Escorts usually ensure they don't pass anything to their clients and risk losing them as repeat customers. Also, the agencies in Victoria have regular testing for their girls. It all comes down to common sense when accepting this service from an SP - if I notice something I don't like, such as a sore, I will not accept uncovered oral, but never had cause to turn it down in two and a half years visiting escorts. It's also the same for the lady offering the service; she won't do it if she feels it won't be safe - that's where YMMV comes in.

Please guys, let's keep this to bbbj reviews, and not a discussion about risks - that has been DONE and DONE in MANY other threads.
And yet people still come on these threads and disrupt the flow. I waited a few days and it continued, so I responded. A few months ago someone came on a thread about Vic agencies offering BBBJ, and mentioned the same thing (risks and all that). I agree that review posts should stick to just that - reviews.
I think it's good that people are reminded about the risks in forums reviewing highly risky sexual behavior. It's very relevant. From reading these posts, it is clear that many are profoundly ignorant about the issue. STIs are not prevented by girls "taking care of themselves", and they can't "insure they don't pass it on to their clients". Education is urgently needed. You are at risk, and your future partners are all at risk (many STIs are asymptomatic). And you place the girl at risk by asking her to engage in high risk behavior - which they do if desperate, or unaware of the risks. This can include increased risk for throat cancer for girls with high numbers of oral sex partners without condoms. It's pretty exploitative. If you don't want to read about the risk, skip the comment. I shall continue to remind my friends here, and hopefully the girls, about the risks.
Many SP's do not engage in this service at random, and I mentioned earlier that I never "pay extra for it" - a CBJ is just fine if that is what the lady offers. Honestly, enough already. Everyone knows the risks involved. Get off the board and stop playing in the industry. It's a matter of choice. The business owner (SP) is choosing to provide it, I am choosing to take it. Just as I know the risks when I decide to go free climbing instead of roping in. And yes, I have been given "friends" by a very well reviewed, low volume, high priced, local SP from getting a BBBJ, but she was willing to provide the service and I made the choice to take it. Unlucky. I've been getting BBBJ's by every kind of SP under the sun, starting almost three years ago in Vancouver, and never caught a thing. I wasn't familiar with review boards when I first started and would book on LL with SP's whose pics/description I liked and that were friendly and prompt with their reply (common sense goes a long way). If not, some CBJ I have got is better than BBBJ and often I feel more relaxed knowing there is a bit more protection for both myself and the SP during CBJ. I actually ended up having a better time because of that.
