line baking pan with foil, lay in bacon, put in cold oven, set to 400 and timer for 20 minutes

it took 25 in my oven at 400F from cold to get the doneness I like. Not quite as crispy but easy and tasty as hell. Definite winner winner bacon dinner!

Good way to attract bears, they love the smell of bacon too, lol.

Lol I knew someone would think about that. I like to live dangerously... Lol

Born and raised back east ...bears are not as prevalent in the middle of nowhere...but still would not do it in October. Mid summer not really an issue if luck is on your side and the berries plentiful.

I could always revert to a repellent like Spam instead of bacon ?

Oven cooked bacon is the only proper way to cook bacon

I don't agree with you much, but this is one of those times, only way I cook it, plus I add a sprinkling of seasoning salt and rosemary...delicious
