A reference site that a number of groups working with rapid testing are using is:
https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations?country=CAN
This is administered from Oxford Univ and would be considered as a very good source of current data.
As of Dec.12 Canada has about 7% of the population boosted. Almost 82% with at least one shot and about 77% doubly vaccinated. Total population including kids in this mix which frankly is what should be used now to compare how the various developed countries are doing with this. The %-ages in the developing world are extremely low which is of pretty grave concern if you view the world as one giant viral pool.
The pace of omicron infections is very high and if that infection rate continues will be the dominant strain in Canada in the next couple weeks. The good if you want to call it good, is that for the most part if you are vaccinated symptoms will be relatively mild. The bad is that R values greater than 1 keep the virus going and mutating and on and on. There are breakthrough cases in the fully vaxxed including boosted which shows how strongly the strain is shedding once it gets a toehold in any host, including vaccinated ones.
So to Poon or Not to Poon? Is this the same as it was in mid 2020? Is your risk higher now? Headed into 2022 do you just say 'fuck it' I want to get on with my life? Or do we all lock ourselves away with our favourite jack off toy and become masters of masturbation.
Its a pretty damn frustrating situation and as you move on along times arrow as I am doing, you start thinking (old man yelling at cloud) YOU FUCKER UP THERE. Don't take away these last good pooning years!!
cheers all, MPH
