I have a slight feeling this could be a bust for pooners. but its just a hunch for me. Thought I give a warning just for ya'll to know.
It'd be a difficult bust because, you know, the laws in Canada are different than in the US...such that Police don't typically set up stings in apartment buildings to bust johns like they do in Vegas as shown on Cops.
There was a thread in the Neighbourhood watch section about a possible sting with underagers and another one about trading 420 for sex. Now those I could see lead to a POSSIBLE charge, possible only if the pooner fesses up to the popo or if he's carrying a substantial amount of pot, or there is substantial amount of evidence in the pre-meet conversation to show that he was interested in buying sex from a minor. Being in a common bawdy house? I don't think it's ever been successfully tried in Canada.
And all that just to bust johns? They bust them easier on the streets so why would they bother baiting them with a somewhat known micro? And why would they set up only 2 blocks from the cop shop? It would set off alarm bells like it did with you, wouldn't it?
But keep up the spidey senses and stay away if you have a bad feeling. It's better than getting caught in an idiotic flavour-of-the-week police sting.
