Awkward session

I had a session with a SP that was pretty bad from a service perspective as she was nowhere near as good as she was the last time I saw her a bunch of years ago. I'm absolutely positive she didn't remember me, which is understandable, so that's why I'm confused about why she out of the blue started talking about other SPs. She kind of went off saying all sorts of bad things about a few ladies. (I will not repeat what she said or mention the names)
It made me feel really uneasy. I don't know what the point was or what to say. I kind of just made noncommittal noises.
I know that some ladies don't get along with each other but, this was a 1st for me.
Anyone else have this happen?

I had a MP a few years ago, I'd see on the regular. She would start talking about other MP's, essentially spreading gossip. I just let it roll of my back, but true, it's distracting from the session.

If I were to take a guess at what's going on, there's probably a lot of shit that goes on between providers and their "management" that we don't see. Fake bookings, threats, etc. It's been said many times before how Winnipeg is not as welcoming to providers, hence the status as a fly-over place for some out of town providers. Must boil over for some of them from time to time. But shouldn't happen during a session. SP's, feel free to correct me here.

If you're planning on going back to see her, let her know beforehand that gossip took you out of the session. Her reaction, will let you know if it's worth going back.

I wouldn't delete this; it's valuable to have this insight. Especially since you're one of the few SPs in Winnipeg that contributes to this board. If the thread is considered too off topic, then it can be moved to the lounge. But it's good to have this local focus.

Lynn you should save/screenshot any conversations you have with guys trying to extort you. These guys can’t be allowed to get away with it.

Years ago I had a couple of locals boast about making fake bookings, saying it was simply defending their “turf”.

Your absolutely correct our emotions shouldn't be boiling over into our sessions. I'll admit I've talked about fake bookings with clients after sessions only which I do think are set up from other sps and for some reason set up by one member from perb whom I've never met ugh, though I've only mentioned fake bookings if the client initially asks how work is going and because im honest I share with them. I personally feel that it has never taken away from the good experience we shared but I'd it has I hope they'd let me know.
Constructive criticism is always okay with me.
I've never bad mouthed an sp to a client though and if I'm honest I don't know any other sps aside from myself so I couldn't talk shit about people I don't know it's not in my nature.
It's important as an sp that we have support people in our lives so were able to vent about these types of issues we deal with day to day while working.

Since becoming an sp back in Dec2021 I can truly say Winnipeg seems a bit unwelcoming at times for new sps especially from one texting encounter I had with a "inquiring potential client" whom said my rates were to much because I was a super new sp back in jan2021 and that because I didn't look like an ig model he was gonna write a review about our convo because I didn't understand the point he was getting to... which he didn't end up writing a review because I think he realized he'd look like an a$$ from the get go.
I also had quite a bit of fake bookings back then and it really made me frustrated and upset that other sps can't welcome other girls into the industry even if it isn't genuine instead they felt threatened, like how intimidated can they be by me that they have to fake book me all day, days in a row sure I have the devils name but in honestly a sweet and loving person. I just kept thinking have fun being second choice lol since your so worried I'm "taking" clients from you.
If clients are booking with someone else there's a reason why and if the sp doesn't wanna make changes to increase buisness they should quite the industry instead of being petty and fake book women.
I'm happy the fake bookings happen alot less now, and usually my spidy senses tingle and when i pick up on one and I just ask for a bit of a etransfer deposit if I think it's a fake booking.

Wow I got a bit off topic and ranted a lot oops, I guess that goes to show just how much support sps need close to them.

Completely agree with you! It's so unprofessional/such bad form to diss other SPs. I view other providers in the city as allies and collaborators, not competition. The best thing we can be doing is focusing on our own business and building good relationships with clients, not putting energy into fake bookings and trash talking one other.

I've noticed your entry into the industry with interest - you seem like a smart, savvy and down-to-earth person and I wish you the best :) If you ever are in need of advice or another opinion, I'm happy to help!
