How do you deal with these people? I work with a lot of lazy, fat, overpaid alcoholics. I like the money I make, but lately I've been coming closer and closer to punching someone in the face, and gotten into some escalating verbal confrontations. I'm scared to go in tomorrow. What do you guys do when there's people you hate at work?

make em look feeble and eventually they will have some fucking mental breakdown and quit so u dont have to

I've worked with people like that.
I've ended up asking 2 guys to quit/leave or they will have to use 'fired' on their resume. But I'm a senior guy in a supervisory position, so I can do that.
With guys at the 'same level', I would probably get management involved to create some physical seperation, work in different areas of the building, different shift, etc.

I work at home alone. So if I don't like my co worker, I go to a mirror and tell him to STFU. 
BUT I did go postal on some soccer mom today who laid on the horn without any reason. (read that, she was dead wrong)
Her kids in the back learned a whole bunch of words that would get their mouths washed out with soap.

Sounds like it's time for a new career...possibly one that you don't have to work with people much or if at all...
Personally, the fewer ppl I have to work with each day, the better the job IMO!
Just do the natural thing and punch the sob in the face. But have another job lined up before u do that
The person responsible for your situation is your boss/ department head/ Hr staffer or whoever is in charge. Remember shit flows downhill and find a more benevolent culture to work in. Confronting your co workers will not solve the problem as they will simply be replaced by new people who will be warped by the same environment.
Don't give up....Make a yummy delicious cake out of laxative and offer it to them.....They won't know what hit them!!!
