I go to study at a Mcdonalds near my house (its open 24 hours and is quiet) and theres this woman who works there. Shes about 40 years old. She asked me about a month ago what i was studying etc and since then we've been talking almost every time i go in (usually for 4-5 mins). Found out she has a 5 year old girl and I think another kid but no husband and she works part time at Mcdonalds while studying to go to college. Question is, should I ask her for her number and try to get a date or is she just being friendly to her customers and talks to everyone? Thanks

isn't it actually the opposite where women that have received an unwanted advance from a man end up feeling creeped out and/or offended and now whatever casual "acquaintanceship" they had going before is now uncomfortable, like he has betrayed her feelings of safe chit chat by completely misreading her intentions and with the admission that he was actually in it for more....

pretty hard to go back to the way it was before after something like this. guess that is the gamble that was taken and lost, and a lesson to all that you need to be very careful doing something like this if it is a restaurant or store that you really like to go to and want to keep going to feeling comfortable there. like I said in an earlier post, probably best to avoid completely these kinds of situations in the first place, too hard to get a proper read on things right from the start
