You are completely wrong.

Have you ever lived, or even visited the countries you mentioned?
I have lived in Turkey, and visited Egypt. These are about as closed societies as you could envision.
Iran basically sealed itself off from the rest of the world for decades.
Crossroads of empires, just means they were invaded more often.
No, haven't visited the Middle East, no plans to ever do so.
I was commenting on the various groups that have historically lived and lasted through the ages in that geographical area. A government sealing itself to the outside world doesn't change the demography of it's population.

Regarding the original post:
It's ok to be attracted to something, and to find something not attractive. I'm not attracted to heavy set women. It doesn't mean I dehumanize or degrade heavier women. Some people are attracted to people of certain races, others find certain people unattractive. It isn't a fetish, it's a preference.
That video made me cringe.

the fact that we are one of the only cultures that sexualizes breasts is proof that you're wrong. attraction bias can be learned and unlearned. I'm sure that if heavy-set women were what was considered conventionally attractive and you'd grown up seeing them in desirable roles and films and on the fronts of magazines, you'd feel differently now. stigma against fat women has conditioned you not to be attracted to them and that's you being a part of fatphobia whether you realize it or not.

When I was a little kid, there were certain girls I grew up with in my neighbourhood that I found very attractive. This had nothing to do with any movies I watched, or any magazines I read, as I was still just a kid. Growing older, I sought out women that reminded me of, or resembled the women I grew up with that I was attracted to.
Perhaps society did subconsciously tell me to find something unattractive, and I may not be aware of it. But my mind doesn't work that way. I don't go for the herd mentality. I reject being told what I should like. This also applies to my choices in food and music.
When you say someone has been conditioned by fatphobia, and we should unlearn this to find heavy women attractive, this ignores the fact that we are all individuals, with our own sense of tastes. There's people within our own society, and even within my circles, that are attracted to heavy women, or at the very least, not turned off by physical appearances. They watch the same movies as me, so it's not so much stigmatizing through pop culture, as personal tastes.

This is patently and demonstrably false. The middle eastern countries are far more multicultural than Europe. Egypt, Turkey, and even Iran. Crossroads of empires.

The railroad system was established for one purpose only. To ship the wealth out of India and into Great Britain. India was wealthy and had a complex education system before the Brits showed up. GB set about dismantling this. After the Brits left, India reestablished its economy and education system again. Long ways to go still.
The British outlawed the caste system in India. If an Indian was so unfortunate as to be born in the lowest caste, they were not even allowed to pump their own water from the community well.

W....what!? ? are you okay?
imagine in one forum post saying that Asian countries are just as privileged as white countries and then also literally saying an Asian country benefitted from white invasion

It's racist because you automatically assume only western countries could possibly be privileged, and no Asian country could ever hope to be privileged. It's "the poor savages could never hope to become privileged" attitude. That patronizing racsim is similar to what Joe Biden continually does to the black community. Also, believing no colonized country could benefit by dint of their own will and industriousness by using what colonizers built, is also incredibly patronizing and demeaning.

The victim culture has pre-programmed some people to believe people of colour will never have the ability to determine their own success or failure.

Are you trying to argue South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, India or Middle Eastern Arabic nations don't have equivalent wealth to Western nations? Colonialism exploited many countries, but one could easily argue the legacy of British colonialism in India left a lot of positives that other nations didn't get - an amazing rail system that is the backbone of Indian travel and commerce, and effective educational system that gave rise to a growing middle, and upper class, a modern postal system, a head start in English, the language of the world, and most importantly- a place in the British Commonwealth, that allowed India to exploit its resources for export. Their head start in English led directly to their presence in the high tech industry.
You have to do a lot more reading on proper history of colonialism. Rail system built by the British was extraordinarily overpriced for the Indian people and you can imagine Britain looted about 45 trillion dollars out of India during their regime and the money they spent on its people, to build these systems you are mentioning, was too little. Educational system in India was never great, bureaucratic system of India is in dire condition, not because India peole are dishonest or not competent but how the systems were built from ground up. They were made to exploit the Indian People, I am talking from my personal experience.

You are completely false here, caste system in India was never outlawed. It still recognizes the castes, only after India's independence from the British, some lower castes were given special rights. Britishers actually exploited the caste system to its their own benefit. Caste system was never violent in Indian history before Britishers came in and started creating the rifts between various ethnic groups, there is no historical proof of any violent clashes between castes in the history and it is a British false propaganda just to justify their own presence in India during colonial era.

I have lived in India so I know a lot more than what can be mentioned in the scope of this debate!

I'm well traveled and lived in a few very diverse countries, and breasts were sexualuzed in all of them.

Uh pretty sure every culture sexualizes breasts, have you ever watched Japanese anime? Lots of boobies, tons of them. It's because men are in every culture, and men like breasts, that's it.

Fat people, hmm.. I guess gorging yourself with food to the point where your body becomes abnormal in size isn't considered attractive for some strange reason? Who'd a thought? It's like me being attracted to someone who's anorexic, where a small gust of wind might take them out, it's not normal and is unhealthy why should I be attracted to that? But you don't hear about skinnyphobia because it's much less common. Diabetes, heart disease, cancer, fatty liver, kidney failure is sooo hot! Damn am I ever attracted to fat people! What about smokers? Whoa bet her lungs are black as hell, better ask her on a date before someone else does! It's not a phobia, people will always be more attracted natural and healthy, it's hardwired into our brains. Are you attracted to 260lb steroid monsters with veins everywhere? No? Musclephobic!!

In regards to the topic of thread... My Korean friend back in highschool got many many girls it wasn't even funny, very popular guy. Him being Asian had no effect on his ability to make friends or be seen as attractive. In fact many of the Asian guys were popular with the women of all colors, because they were outgoing and funny usually.
Peoples' appearance doesn't have any bearing on whether or not I'm attracted to them. Mind blowing, I know. Just because someone is fat or thin doesn't mean I won't be attracted to them. They're human beings and they're beautiful.

You know who I'm not attracted to? You and your ugly attitude. *smiles sweetly*

We are hard-wired to be attracted to the most healthy people, which usualy happen to be the most appealing people. It's how a species replicates to stay strong. Someone saying appearance doesn't affect who they are attracted to, is lying, either to us, or themselves. Other factors might come into play once you get to know someone, but initially, we all like to look at types that appeal to us. Why is the make-up industry so huge? Why has cosmetic plastic surgery become so fashionable? Why are the ebiggest influencers and celebrities people who most others find attractive?

PS - The racism of the woke posits that the only reason people of colour are not as successful is because white people keep them down and oppress them. The only way people of colour can ever be helped is if we white people help them. That's the overt, demeaning attitude that believes people of colour can't do anything for themselves, or take responsibility for their actions, or get educated and find employment without the help of the woke whitey. It also dismisses, and demeans the majority of people of colour who succeed.

Try to follow along. Clonialism was driven for the benefit of the occupying nations. Nobody disputes that. My point was, when independence was achieved by countries such as India, they then had the benefit of inheriting the infrastructure, and other things that were built by occupiers. Look at it like nationalizing industries.

Google is just a tool that brings you closer to what others say. And what they say about broad subjects like this is very much their opinion, not the absolute truth to guide your life with or form definite opinions. You can find anything on Google, including 'experts' who say the earth is flat!

About breasts and conditioning, I give you one example. In Japan women tape their breasts flat to look good in kimono. You could say that the traditional desired look would be flat chested. Yet in my many years living in Japan I've never met a single Japanese man who wouldn't comment on a nice set of breasts. In other words, they sexualize them.

And here is my opinion. By instinct, its safe to say that women tend to look for tall strong man because in ancient times that kind of man had more chance to catch food and protect. In a similar way, man were looking for women with hips and breasts, as that indicated safe child bearing. In other words, deep inside lies survival of the species and that in sublime way dictates what we like in the opposite sex. At the same time, there are fallout of having an intelligent brain. So we have our individual differences, likes, preferences, cultures, traditions. But deep inside, within our animalistic instinct, i think its safe to say that man in general are attracted to female breasts. They are one of the things that give a female femininity. The curves! We like curves.

Do you honestly believe India has "equivalent wealth to Western nations"? Per capita GDP of India (granted it's been awhile since I looked at the numbers) is something in the neighbourhood of $2,000 USD. For comparison, Canada's per capita GDP is greater than $45,000 USD. Of S. Korea, Japan, China and India, only Japan approaches a similar per capital GDP as Canada. China, as large as they are, their per capita GDP is closer to India's than it is to Canada's (or the US or the UK or Sweden for that matter). Hate to break it to you, a railroad and postal system does not make a country wealthy!

Your point on "benefits" is woefully irrelevant. Think about it, if a burglar comes into your home, takes your TV, laptop, jewellery, the Monet hanging in your bathroom, etc., etc., etc. and while the burglar is making his/her getaway drops a brand new iPhone whatever ProMax in your kitchen - how relevant is the benefit of said new iPhone to you? How asinine would it be for your neighbour to walk up to you and say "I'm not disputing that getting robbed sucks, my point is you now have the benefit of inheriting a brand new iPhone whatever ProMax"? You really should've just stopped at "Clonialism was driven for the benefit of the occupying nations. Nobody disputes that" and be done with it! LOL!

The problem with per capita measures, like most statistics, is that you can skew that however you like to make things look great or terrible. India having one of the largest populations in the world, of course skews their per capita GDP. India is also an incredibly f-d up country, when it comes to wealth distribution and poverty. One of the more interesting conversations I recall having, was talking to an Indian whom happened to be of the Sikh faith; their opinions about what was wrong with India were fascinating, and it all boiled down to Indian Independence and how the country was nowhere near ready for self-determination in 1947.

I'd suggest it's entirely disingenuous to say there are absolutely zero benefits to a post-colonial nation, be it a civil service, form of government, military tradition, crown corporation(s), transportation/infrastructure in general, trade, etc. I'm not going to argue that there are no downsides to colonialism, certainly not with the crowd on this site whom like to outdo each other at self-flagellation for historic wrongs...
LOL! Per capita is used because size (i.e. population or simply large numbers generally) is what skews perception?!?!? Per capita is only used because it makes things comparable. India's GDP is larger than Canada's GDP - but because of differences in (vastly different) population, based solely on aggregate GDP one could (erroneously) conclude that India is "wealthier" than Canada - by no reasonable economic measure is India "as wealthy" as Canada. That is not a statement about colonialism or poverty or anything else. GDP per capita is simply GDP per capita - a metric that makes a comparison possible, that's it! It does not define what is poverty or what it means to be rich or what causes poverty or as you put it, used to "make things look great or terrible." It simply is what it is.

Your analogy is as comically simplistic as the video. Following your twisted logic, the new iPhone would be thrown away, rather than be used.

Not to mention - the burgler didn't actually use engineering, technology, ability and knowledge to build the iPhone he left.
