The "conservative" parties ads are beginning to piss me off...
Things like "Nice hair Though" do you really want to vote for that type of people?

Agreed. The more I see negative advertising, the more I dislike the Cons.

I am voting for Trudeau, lots of minority political representation in the liberal party. His father created charter of rights, this represent Canadian values.

Conservative representative wai young is not even a Chinese name, there is no such translation, she is merely using her heritage to grab votes. The advertisements exposes the lack of cultural sensitivity of the conversation part. Anyone but Harper.

I don't really think any of the parties have good ads. The conservative ads are tacky and seem to talk down to people, like we are all slow 90 year old women scared of dark men.

I don't how anyone could base their political views from these commercials. The NDP and Liberal commercials do nothing to differentiate from each other.

I watch all my TV via the PVR and skip all the commercials so I don't even see them. I had decided I was going to spoil my ballot long before the election was called. This only changed when I found out I had a Libertarian Party candidate in my riding. If you define seeing a sign advising me of a candidate I didn't know was running as influencing me I would have to change my answer. But for now I am going to stick with my no

The ads influence my vote in negative ways!

Every Cons. ad I see makes me more determined to be rid of them.

Still lost in the '60s
I have to admit the TV commercial the Liberals have been running lately makes me feel better about Trudeau. So much better that if I were in a riding where the "Anyone But Harper" people say the Liberal candidate had a better chance of winning, I might go along with that.
However, that is just hypothetical, because in my riding the NDP has the best chance of dethroning that fracking gobshite Steve.

I dunno, in a tossup between Harper's hair, Trudea's hair and Mulcaires' hair I think I'd have to go with the Trude. Definitely don't like the haircut Harper's been giving.

If I could vote here, I would say that the Conservative hate ads would certainly reinforce my voting behaviour against them.
But frankly, I don't trust any advertising, so any influence would only be negative and I'd focus on the substance of platforms and the local candidate.

Unfortunately, there is ample research to show that attack ads work. I just wish it wasn't so.

Plus the Cons have been doing these hater ads for what seems like their entire mandate. Give it a rest already Steve, we get it, the Cons shit don't stink.

Agreed … they are so unnecessary. One wonders what type of unthinking person they are aimed at. God help democracy if they actually work … or perhaps if they work we don't deserve a democracy!!

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.
