Agreed, absolutely they will. Check the Perbatory section for some examples. Good luck getting anywhere with a complaint of any kind to LL
I don't even bother with LL, only just to cross check certain things, but that's it.

100%. The most troubling aspect is that newcomers are being scammed daily. Many individuals, including some providers I've been with, aren’t aware of resources like the Perb forums, so it’s unfair to assume that everyone knows how to avoid these scams.

Leolist scammers are thriving because scams go unreported, largely due to the legal restrictions on sex work in Canada. Since Leolist only accepts cryptocurrency, scammers can continually create new accounts without being traced. Additionally, since each ad incurs a fee, it’s clear that these scammers are making substantial profits. Leolist is only valuable when used in conjunction with this site and other review forums; on its own, its totally useless and outright dangerous.
Just to clarify - crypto can usually be traced, the transaction acounts are listed in the block-chain.

Leolist uses Litecoin, it's true that Litecoin transactions are traceable on the blockchain, but this doesn’t mean that a person can be identified. It's very easy to create multiple new wallets, which can obscure the link between transactions of a single user. Additionally, there are many ATMs and services that allow individuals to exchange cash for Litecoin anonymously, further complicating efforts to trace identities solely through transaction data.
Sounds like a lot of effort and having to know your way around these things.

Definitely. I could not imagine being new to this hobby on top of not knowing what reviews were or how to find them. So if you are already experienced and know a bit beforehand who is an established reliable SP, you can easily get scammed financially or by bait & switch if you don't.
I could be wrong, but before the internet, there was something kind of like Perb called Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) and MiRC. People with home computers like Commodore or Atari and a phone line could join in. You needed a modem to connect, and it was a way to chat, share files, and hang out online before the Internet took over.

Now you're making me feel old.

I got flamed for saying this once before...
Guys will do hours of research before buying car tires or a subwoofer. They ask around for weeks.
But when it comes to an escort, they see big tits and fat ass and throw caution to the wind.
They refuse to do image searches.
They post questions and refuse to take advice.

Many of the ads on LL have clues that they are fake. Some say this is intentional, so only suckers or naive newbies respond to the ad. Those guys are less likely to kick up a fuss. They don't post here that they got ripped off because they are embarrassed or don't know of this site.

I don't want anyone to get scammed but these guys are their own worst enemy. When you read a bad review and it starts "It wasn't the lady in the pictures but I stayed ...." I think to myself your own fault!
(cue the ones who say fake pics are okay)

In the 90s, Usenet newsgroups were popular, as well as chat. You'd use your email client to sign up to whatever group you wanted. Google use to have a section specifically for searching Usenet, called Google Groups, however they shut it t down. Now all that information is lost forever. Google has scrubbed ALOT of information off the internet, its a horrible company just like Leolist. If you think that once it's online, it's always online, your living in a dreamland. You young bucks have no idea how bad the internet has become.
Nah. That's not entirely accurate.

Long before Google, we had Yahoo, Altavista, Ask Jeeves and more as search engines. Usenet was around before Google was born. Your ISP had Usenet groups first, and you accessed them that way. Does anyone remember Outlook Express? There were also premium Usenet groups you could subscribe to where you could download content to satisfy whatever your kink you had.

When Google came about, it wanted a piece of that pie so it indexed Usenet. Usenet is still alive, where do you think all those pirated movies originate from?

All your information remains on the internet, as long as the internet exists. Don't be so naive. It may not be accessible by you or me, but it's certainly accessible by law enforcement and authorities.

People prefer comforting, especially erotic lies, not inconvenient truths, coupled with toxic positivity. That's how our culture is these days.
