I don't get Canucks fans rooting for them to tank so they possibly get a #1 pick.

They had one of the best players in the game to build a franchise around, and traded him away because the team, and management sucked. Why would any top 3 first round picks want to play here? If they do get the #1 pick, I'm sure within 3 years they'll have ruined him, too.

If you've built a collapsing house, why would the same people build a better house?
Real fans know we haven't been good for a while now, got lucky with bubble run and 24 run

We sold our future tryna appease a pissant owner happy to jus make playoff appearances

Quinn pulled a Tkachuk, didn't wanna stay in a Canadian market, can't build a team when we keep trading draft picks and makin bad signings

We need a full reset and that requires drafting young kids and devolping them instead of hopin to hit it in FA

Having 3 picks in the 1st rd this year shud help but highly unlikely they make the roster next year... Let em develop in Abby with Manny... Cootes is a starting point, adding the potential of McKeena or Stenberg will give the future a bit of a brighter outlook

Too bad they cudnt snag a 1st from sharks, they have 2 next year

Amazing, isn't it? Almost every year the Canucks launch ticket drives saying they will be a contender for the Stanley Cup. This year was no exception, but instead of just not making the playoffs, they are literally the worst team in the league. The worst. Worse than newer teams, teams with more injuries, worse than re-building teams. Just, the worst. It takes real fuck ups from top to bottom to achieve that level of ineptitude.

Imo, the downfall began when they chose Miller over Horvat. I was against that and told everyone it was the wrong move. Keep Bo, he had more upside in the long run.

Miller caused issues in the locker room in New York and Tampa and it would happen here. And it did. Looks to be happening in New York again. There's an old clip of AV talking about him in 2013. His words still hold true.

Once there's a rift in the locker room, you're never gonna get the unity back. Trade all the big pieces and start fresh.

If the lottery were held tonight, Rangers and Hawks would jump over the 'nucks, leaving them to pick 3rd.
Betteman won't allow the 'nucks to win the lottery pick 🙄
Yeah, because Bettman is responsible for them being the shittiest team in the NHL, and really really wants to never see Vancouver win anything. And they say politicis is full of conspiracy theories.

What did Miller do in Tampa ? That is one organization that runs a tight ship one of my favorite teams in all of sports.

His wild emotional swings like a teenage girl rubbed people in that room the wrong way as well. That's why Tampa was so thrilled Benning gave them a 1st rounder for JT back in 2019. They wanted him gone.

It came out in the press way more here, but it was present in NY and TB as well. I personally didn't care for a guy spitting firey words, but then wouldn't back check.

Even in his two best seasons here, I saw the collapse coming with him. It's overlooked when you're winning. But once you start losing, many level-headed players hate that non-sense. Another reason he wants C material, and it went to Quinn.

Can anyone explain the appeal of Boeser? He goes on streaks where he doesn't score for a month, is a defensive nighmare who never back-checks, and is currently trying to have the worst plus/minus in the league at -40. He's a career -73

Brock gets a free pass in this market given his affable personality. He also has no speed and his contract will age very poorly as the Canucks will pay him for 6 more years until he is 35. Brock is also the poster boy for the Canuck Country Club mentality. How many players have you seen take a week off in mid season because their dog died?

BC born and raised and always thought the Canucks sucked. I had a job in DT Van during the playoff finals that one year against Boston and left early and went straight home after work and dodged all the invites to bars and pubs because I knew they'd lose and that there'd be a big riot. Sure enough, exactly what happened. I dont know why people torture themselves being fans of such a cursed franchise owned by a big piece of shit family.

Its at this point, that I say, what sport are the Canucks playing?
If they are playing that bad, start firing people and trading them....
