How was it? Were the exhibits interesting? Judging from the programs for the stages today, it should be fun spending a few hours there. I notice there is a section for pet supplies as well. Great opportunity for pet owners to stock up on pet food since they usually have great discounts at shows.

Guess it would help if I had even known about it

So consider this just a bump for your post.

Still on till Sunday

The show is until Sunday. If anyone saw it, are there any food sampling and do they charge a lot for the samples (ie. more than $2 - that's two dollars, not 120 :) )?

Thanks

Went to the show a couple of years ago, they were selling sample tickets by the enterance think it was $1 per ticket so I bought a sheet. Went around to the display booths and got so many free samples that I wasn't hungry anymore. Found out the tickets were for the booths serving larger portions, ended up using my tickets and taking the food home with me cause I was too full to eat it there.

Rob Feenie and Bob Blummer are the featured chefs this year, too bad none of the hot female hosts from FoodTV will be there. Might check it out tommorow.

For those who are tempting to go to the show, do not hesistate, just go. It was very enjoyable watching the cooking demo performed by Tojo, Feenie, and Bob Blumer. My funniest part was when Feenie screwed up the cooking demo where he was making a chicken pot pie with puff pastry on top. However, he had a great deal of difficulty getting the pastry to puff up and later he found out the oven wasn't even turned on. Feenie went overtime and I could see Blumer wasn't a happy camper at the backstage. He was also taking stabs at the astronomical price that Feenie would charge at his restaurant for a similar dish that he prepared at the demo. People simply went nuts after the cooking demo trying to get a bite of free food.

One thing that pissed me off was there were these two Chinese ladies in front of me continuously asking Tojo for his ingredients and simply doesn't want to move on. In the meantime, all I wanted to do was to admire his $1000 knife but they kept on blocking my view. Tojo was really nice and answered all their questions. He even gave them a little sample of the plum sake he used.

There were also hotties of all ages on the floor and most of them were wearing articles that show off their bodies in order to attract people coming to sample their products. That strategy really worked well on me and I bought things that I wouldn't have bought if they weren't sold by hotties wearing tight tops and yoga pants. :D Finally, if you are a pet owner, there are plenty of samples for your pet to take home and can easily make up the price of admission.

magician, thanks for the info. I went on Sunday and had lots of good samples, as well as using coupon. My highlight of the day was when I tried the hot sauce, and panicking to get water. Damn! that was hot!!
