Being a hobbyist, I was wondering how real to life it is and whether it is worthwhile seeing?

I wanted to see it, but then I read some reviews saying that the acting was terrible and the story wasn't very interesting.

I may still get around to seeing it one of these days, though, just because of the topic.

I saw the one with Sasha Grey - a real snoozer.

I was hopeful for more ;) but it was really quite a sad story.

I saw them both and find them pretty boring. The Sasha Gray one has a bigger budget and better production if you must pick one to see. Me, I wish I had gone for a GFE session with any of the lovely ladies in this thread instead.

I saw both as well.

The Sasha Grey movie was quite good in my opinion, although not because of Sasha Grey - she may do porn well (not my taste) but she had no emotional range - maybe that was the plan. Steven Soderbergh is an established director and had a budget so the cinematic elements were good. If you are an escort with an SO, it may not be a good idea to watch this movie. I would watch it again.

The second was low-budget and shot in Vancouver. I have no idea if there was a point to the movie. Waste of time.

I just watched it because I was curious to see Sasha Grey's transition to mainstream. Now she's totally left the Valley and has gone mainstream 100%. I did enjoy watching her more in the seedy 7th Season of HBO's Entourage. :) :)

Sasha Gray does not have any range in the porn she is in ether .. if she is not talking dirty , swallowing cock and yelling fuck me , fuck me ,fuck me in the ass .. she comes off as a dead fish.

AS fo r both of these films i still have not seen them .. It seem like any one of us on this board can make a n honest realistic film of this business but none of the people making these films have any idea of the true nature of the business .. They ether have not known any escorts personally , or just the high end one.. or they just don't want to tell the truth .. because it is just all to human and like any one else life even with the sex... drugs relation and family problems

I previously posted my thoughts about the 2 films in the following thread:

https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?137125-Movie-FAQ-GFE-Girlfriend-Experience

Here`s what I wrote at the time:

I`ve seen both the Steven Soderbergh directed one that starred Sasha Grey as well as the locally (Vancouver) produced, similarly titled film. And I actually think the locally made one is a better movie. The Soderbergh one was rather unfocussed and kind of aimless, in my opinion. I think if he had cut it in a more linear way, there might have at least been the feeling of a story there. But as it was, it seemed like the focus of the story was unclear. Was it supposed to be a dissertation on the current state of the economy as it affected an SP and her boyfriend? Or was it supposed to be about an SP almost finding a more intimate connection with a client than she feels she has with her SO?

The Vancouver made film is also not classically structured. The conceit is that it`s one of those faux documentaries told primarily from the POV of a client and the people in his life. But in this case, it kind of works. It still has a lot of flaws but I was more willing to be forgiving of those flaws because it was compelling enough. And I think it owes a LOT to this forum. Some of the comments and lines in the movie seem like they could have been lifted right from the pages of this board. The only really unfortunate thing about the movie is that the ending feels a little too much like an easy "cop out" but I`d still recommend it to anyone that is involved in this industry, whether on the client or the provider side of the equation.

Bleak, dreamy, fragmented, bad acting, an anticlimactic not very happy ending including *spoiler* frumpy guy who comes in his pants as i recall but all mirror the biz, quite provocative. Recommended if you can handle artsy narrative montage kinda films otherwise stick to Pretty Woman or Sasha Grey porn as there's not much in the way of sex scenes.
