Anyone Notice SP's in the "Friends they may know" FB section?

It has happened a few times in the past. Happening to anyone else?

I assume it is because Facebook has access to my contacts (somehow) and then generates it based on people I text. It's a little worry some when you see an SP pop up on people you may know, also knowing there real name is actually something I like to avoid.

Anybody else have this issue?

It's also due to SP's putting your phone number or name in the facebook search and visiting your page.

I highly suggest a disposable phone if you want to prevent this. And not searching up any sps on your facebook...

Maybe I should just delete FB from my phone..I don't use it much anyways.. I've been working so long I don't actually have any friends that aren't involved in this industry..Even my parents know what I do..no reason for me to have 2 different phones.

I've been away from the regular 'normal' world for so long civilians are like alien creatures to me..
just change your FB settings so people can't "search" for you by email or ph#

Same sort of thing happens with whats app. Got some chicks ph#this weekend stored it in my phone and her face(profile pic) shows up in my contacts. Now I know she gave me her real #:thumb:

FB gets access to your address book as far as I can tell.

I am also on LinkedIn and notice many of my biz associates are 'suggested' as friends. So I'm guessing FB tracks LinkedIn as well.

SP's who do not use a work phone and have clients numbers saved will also get the cross reference to their clients FB.

Check your closet..:)
LinkedIn is really bad for it, so is Google plus. Always best to set up false account's in those on a different Web browser engines. Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari...

I only access my other Gmail account on Chrome, I don't have it linked on my phone for my direct hub. Have to access it as a Web browser email on my phone. I only access perb and leolist etc on chrome in the incognito pages.

For my regular life I use Firefox. My regular gmail/ other email accounts regular are in my direct hub. Facebook, LinkedIn, installation, twitter are all on my phone as apps.
Getting a headache just trying to figure that out..:rolleyes:

Yikes

I had a client and his WIFE pop up.....
Not good. My Facebook is personal, and only for people I am actually friends with in person, nothing to do with work.
That is what Twitter is for.

Sometimes I worry about the fact that I don't have a smart phone and I'm not on Facebook, or Twitter, or Instagram, or LinkedIn, or Google+ ... and I wonder how I can possibly still be functioning as a normal member of society without all these things. ...

but I seem to be just fine.

:)

Wiinky ,my satellite system is dedicated to internet only, I have another for T.V.
It points directly at a mountain top giving me marginal reception....If there isn't a cloud in the sky, if my horses don't scratch their asses on the post it's mounted too, and if I cross my fingers , stick out my tongue, and ask it nice when I fire it up.

As far as being a normal member of society and not having social media invade your personal space.....You have to consider it like having an uninvited guest in your home at times.
And really.....What is normal anyways?
I don't allow any smart phones etc. around when my employees are working in the high country. If we climb to above 4200 feet they have a good signal and start texting or checking emails from a cell signal tower someplace off in the distance. There is always a wreck when they start that shit.
I've never done it , but I always threaten too use their phones as a target on a fence post, to sight in one of my handguns.

Me too I only have one phone because I have no social life or anything to care about getting a separate phone for...luckily I hate using mobile browsers and only play on facebook annoying all my old highschool people on the computer :D and no pics of me though

Presume you are on xplornet,we upgraded to the Xplornet Jupiter system a couple years age ,it's way better, very few problems.Reboot a couple times a year and faster. Relatively inexpensive too. I can stream most of the time. Do need to knock a fir tree down soon, a bit harder to move a mountain. Taller mast?

...^...Yeah those swimming pool sized satellite dishes went the way of Hockey hair, and brick sized cell phones.
But in the good old days, you got a lot of free porn on those.
