Maybe you didn't notice that, because you were so worked up at a random, throw-away mention of the previous US president (for whatever reason), you didn't pay attention to the content (or the point) of my post, and went completely off-topic.
So, yes, that made it look like like, to some people, that you were supporting a racist attitude when you said "it's a true statement". Next time I won't use a politician to make my point, like Neil De Grasse Tyson. But then maybe someone else will jump in and say "he's an atheist so she shouldn't let him near her"...

It doesn't mean you are a racist, but that you sounded like one. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them, or their ability to read, either. So where does that leave us? I didn't take the Obama's dick remark to be racist but I also find that, traditionally, racists, when called out, will take great pains to explain to the letter what they said and how in the extreme literal sense what they said cannot possibly be racist.
