I've tried on three diffrent occasions to get more than 150 pages through Atlas Shrugged and I simply cannot do it. She is simply a boring author. I'm not one for minarchism anyway.

My first real introduction of Rand was courtesy of the CBC, specifically the program Ideas that aired a 2 part program on her. I knew of Rand before that, but never really cared either way. After learning more about her, and her followers, I can say that I satisfied in knowing what crap she preached. I was revolted at her funeral procession that had men carrying large $ signs. That type of people do believe in freedom, but that freedom is predicated on money. In the end they are type not to control money but be controlled by it.

I read "Atlas Shrugged" at the recommendation of a friend about 20 years ago and when I finished the novel I had to admit that her philosophy of the worth of human existence kind of pissed me off. I don't like Ayn Rand.
