I now need contact lenses for dual purposes: near and far distance.
I tried one brand of hard lenses, but don't like them. I find they fatigue my eyes too quickly.
Anyone know of a good place to go for help with this?
Sorry man, not sure. I know some costcos have an eye wear section, u can ask them. However, for your situation, might be best to visit an optician and ask for more professional advice.
Costco for sure. They charge a fitting fee $25 I think and will fit you properly and let you try different brands to see what is best. The fitting fee gets applied to any purchase of lenses also. All of their staff are Licensed Opticians too trained in fitting contacts.
My advice is lasik had it done 13 years ago and haven't looked back lol. But seriously it completely changed my lifestyle and the procedure has only got cheaper.
I went for the surgery because I couldn't wear contacts anymore.
If you could wear contacts would you bother with the surgery. Personally I like the look of my face with glasses on (maybe it just looks normal to me after so long). Wore contacts for a long long time, and never had a problem (only had one fall out once in fact), dont notice them in (unless I wear the disposable ones too long past expiry - in which case I just switch em) and can see everything. Would there really be any benifit for me to have surgery?

I've been wearing contacts for years, but need them for dual purposes now.
I tried costco already and they gave me the ones I have now that are not working for me.
