Happens so often where im taking a pic of myself or with a friend. Get accused im snapping pictures of others. There's two cameras on smartphones these days one on the back and front. Today i had some fucking asshole ask to see my phone. Told him he's not worthy of taking a picture of and he's discusting looking...also to fuck off.

Similar thing happened to me, I wasn't even using the camera, just using the internet on the skytrain. Ugly chick across from me, says stop filming me. I say I wasn't. She wants me to pass my phone over. Oh sure, here take my phone......

you need a course in conflict management.
Why someone was trying to rob him. Should he buy him a coffee?

telling some one he is disgusting looking and to f off isn't really necessary. In a polite society, a better approach might be to be a lot more above that, and simple say, "sir I understand your concern, I have no reason to photograph you and I did not do so." At least that would be a calm first approach.
Yes if the individual got belligerent, I would offer to call the police, or skytrain police. Whatever.

It could be a scam to get their filthy hands on your phone then they run...
