Anyone been to Cuba recently?

Hi Everyone

Its been a few years since my last trip to Cuba and I'm thinking about going very soon again. I'd greatly appreciate any advice on booking flights as most of the sites I use are US and dont fly there...so I'm kinda lost.

I'm hugely into old architecture and plan on staying here: http://www.hotelnacionaldecuba.com/en/home.asp has anyone here stayed there before?

I went Air Canada,via Toronto,In January.

Hotel Nacional is beautiful,feels like a time-warp walking thru
the lobby.

The architecture is awesome,esp. Old Havana.

For me, the cars from the 40's&50's were a treat,again,like
stepping back in time.

I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Some posts when you get back would be excellent. It may be a "Last Chance To See" opportunity. Cuba will never be the same again once the Americans arrive en-mass.

Cuba

Sunwing Vacations had a great all-inclusive package when I went. It included their own vacation guide that was with us as soon as we got on the bus from the airport to the hotel. The bus transfers were also included in the package. Check them out.

A little over a month ago, I went to Varadero via Air Transaat and Sell off Vacations.com. I ended up staying at the Tryp Peninsula which was an awesome hotel with great service, food and clean rooms. If I had the chance, I would absolutely go there again, although next time I would bring a travel companion, as the resort caters mostly to young couples/families/newlyweds.
