Sorry, I have not heard much about them. So no idea how good the reception coverage is. But wind.ca also has a $35 plan that is also the same with unlimited province-wide calling but you have to pay extra for vioce mail. While Chat-r gives you the viocemail for free but charges $0.25 per minute to retrieve messages from it. Also I don't think Chat-R has any data plan add ons.

Chatr is just a Rogers spin off so their coverage will be good, customer service abysmal and the price will be just as much as all the others plans when all the extras are added in.

Pretty muxh covers it. lol It's basically a low frills version of Rogers.
Limited features and packages options for a lower price, on Rogers' network.

Except, just wondering what you mean by "extras"?
Taxes & service fees? or added features (caller id, call fwd, voicemail, etc)?

I've been debating between Wind & chat-r but as was pointed out in this thread, chat-r is meant to be strictly chat+text and they don't offer any data options at all, which I think I want. So I'm leaning towards Wind, although Koodoo doesn't look too bad either.

(I reeeally don't want a contract, hate them, they are the perfect excuse for these companies to continue to give the shitty service they do because they know you're trapped.lol I've broken both contracts I've had in the past and preferred to pay the stupid penalty fees - so I want nothing to do with their dumbass contracts ever again! :p LOL)

We get screwed in Canada by the cell phone companies. I'm stuck with Rogers, it's the best of all the lousy choices.

Wind's coverage is still spotty - check to see if they have coverage throughout your calling area first. A while back it wasn't even in Coquitlam.

I recently dumped Rogers and went with Virgin. I used a site called cellplanexpert to figure out which plan to go with.
