Been talking with a escort who's pregnant and on email she says it's okay to take a drink during sex. Are there any stds from breast milk?
Hi SamGomez
The only STI I have heard of passing from breast milk is HIV.
They know that a mother with HIV can pass HIV to her baby with breast feeding.
It’s hard to know what the risk would be to a sexual partner as all the research has looked at breast milk and babies.
I could see how babies could be more at risk as they are breast feeding multiple times per day for a long period of time. Also with babies teething and getting damaged gums HIV would pass easier.
I think the chance of HIV passing from breast milk to a sexual partner would be low. Probably similar if someone came in contact with semen or vaginal fluid in their mouth.
Having good oral health would help with this e.g. Dental checkups, no brushing or flossing prior to feeding.
