Just a few days ago I came up Princess Street from behind the Union Gospal Mission. A man started violently yelling at somebody going into the building at the southeast corner of Cordova & Princess Streets. "I want my jacket back." "You took my jacket." I knew right away he yelled about my own jacket because of the military green colour. I slowed to see who he's badgering. A young Asian woman and the ruckus stopped and we politely smiled at each other. I crossed the ally and up beside the Mission. Saw 3 men congregating at the corner at Hastings but a fourth man turned and came down the sidewalk screaming fu*k. I turned around and went down the ally because I'm headed there anyway. My mother's parents used to live a couple of blocks further on and I only go back to see how the old hood doing. A bit rough but since you asked about the east of Vancouver.
