Are there still outfits like this? If I can't know for sure I might just stick with independents.

the other problem is that the Asian thinking is that what the crooks didn't steal from you the police will, the distrust of law enforcement is a deterrent to receiving legal help

whether justified or not (I happen to believe it is not justified but not in their shoes) this is the main thinking

life is cheap in Asia due to the high population and historical background, they are not used to our society which protects even minority interests

We live in a Global Village now, and things are economically price driven, better or for worse.

I didn't read the entire Article, but i am doubtful in its verocity (never got the sense of any Asian Gal here trafficed, and i usually can speak to them in their local language).
I would boycott such operations if so. I keep in touch with many Korean SPs on Kakao, and talk to them when they are safely in the confines of their city in Korea months after they leave here.

If Local gals gave the same competition, in terms of service and price/performance, i would visit them over the Asian providers.... that's their choice to overprice and underperform, and let me go elsewhere for better value.

Because the numbers being commonly touted back then had not undergone the same scrutiny as now? What was credible 8 years ago may be debunked today. He would be reporting what people told him, not what he personally observed. At least one would hope not.

PERB will edit or remove the post if he posts links in the lounge. Just take a look in the review section. It's fairly easy to figure out which operations have a good reputation and which ones consistently switch women/have phony pictures/upcharge you, etc.

just because they bait and switch etc isn't a sign of if they are shady. The shady title is in reference to who is running the operation not how honest they are about the women. Dollars to donuts if you looked into who runs the private places you will run into gangs. Now what is the treatment of these ladies etc we will never truly know. I would assume that a shop that dealt in "kept" ladies would stand out when compared to the shops where the ladies are here on their own. I bet the deal about owing money for the travel and business expenses etc to the gangs is very common especially on the first visit by the lady.
