Then I ask if everything is okay and ask if we should reschedule (trying to be understanding of family
Emergency) but she tells me someone else got there before me so I have to wait an hour and that it’s first come first serve.

Obviously didn’t wait around any longer and cut my losses. Not sure how you can book an apt and then be told it’s first come first serve, just ridiculous.
