Well of course its not all bad and there is plenty to enjoy aswell as be wary of...

but on the "you're better than that" front, the attitude is there because of the assumption that its easy to do (it is and it isnt) and you could be achieving so much more with your life, which maybe true depending on the person.
I mean, if all you did with your life was suck penises for a few hundred dollars, what do you have to look back on and be proud of later? I guess there is the fact you brought happiness to a few people in small doses.
I realize this may sting a couple of readers but its the truth is it not? Noone has yet erected a statue or given a Nobel Prize out for fucking to date afaik.

The OP asked about suggesting this work for someone already in school though, so i'm guessing it would be a means to and end rather than the end in itself. The future in that scenario is a little less final.
If you want your name in lights, it's pretty improbable you'll get there by being a pro companion. As far as making some people a little happier for a short period of time, I think that can be an understatement for both parties.

It's easy to glamorize and easy to depreciate. The value of being a companion is far more internal than about the tangible benefits.

Would you ever work doing just nude massages and handjobs? i think majority of females feel that about being a sp and catching STDS/STIs.

In a perfect world, I would definitley do it. If STDS/STIs didn't exist, stigmas , judgements, I would love to have sex all day and get paid for it. Also, the huge prevalence of addiction and mental health issues, (I'm not talking about schizoprenia, moreso anger, excessive shopping, broken homes, drinking, etc) was a major factor in deciding against it.

Nonetheless, I am supportive of pro-choice escort and am happy to have spent the time that I did in the sex industry.

Hah if I was 15 years younger and there was a market for straight male escorts(Guy next door type), and a friend had suggested it, I would probably try it out. I would of course have to find a female counterpart to expand my knowledge, but that would have been a perk of the job :).

Next question as i never really put much thought into it, is there an actual market for straight male escorts in Canada?

I saw Alix a few times when she was working - and although the sex was fantastic, that's not what I remember the most. Not by a long shot...
