Got a call from SO at work yesterday. There was a voice mail left on home phone that a major company's utility bill has not been paid yet. Although I never heard the message personally, I was told that it said something like, "You have to call this number and make immediate payment."

I was a bit shocked because I am almost always on top of the things when it comes to my payments. I called the utility company instead of making the payment and I was told my accounts are all up to date. Apparently, someone is trying to get people to call a number and take the credit card information!

Beware!

And now on a more serious note, I am wishing I win the 60 Million jackpot tomorrow. I mean is it too much to ask?? I am not greedy so it's not like I am asking to win every Friday... I just want it once, that's all!

I had a similar message left on my burner/hobby phone this morning.

I wish you luck because IF you win, I am sure you will buy me a Deluxe Package massage at a place of your choice from a girl of my choice as a gift. :)

yeah one of my recent past addictions, lottery and ube/taro ice cream & smoothies...both of them, I have zero feelings for anymore, don't even care that its been 60 million for almost 3 months and I have a full tub of ube in the freezer, and that they are giving away 50 1 million prizes (nobody ever wins anyway unless its guaranteed), yeh, I totally don't care at all....too busy with my life that I created from my own hard earned money lmfao

We've recently been getting a couple of automated calls a day from "The Mastercard National Bank".

I got one from supposedly the CRA. Lolol. I knew it was BS immediately. They told me there was a warrant out for my arrest unless I paid $7000 or something. Hahaha. I put him on speaker and had my friend record the conversation. I kept him on the phone and kept playing along. He got super frustrated when I pretended to cry and that I was sorry and I was bad with numbers and messed up my taxes. After about 30 mins of telling him I was on my way to the bank and got all the transfer info and told him to eff off and laughed for a long time. Haha. The scary part is that they are able to spoof numbers and I actually got 2 calls from the Richmond RCMP. I just hope some more naive people don’t get scammed. I wish I could upload the recording. It’s super hilarious. Ugh. Lol. Assholes.

This is fucking demented. I always assumed these criminals cowered behind their anonymous VOIP numbers from India or something but this is truly brazen. Hope somebody snaps a pic of this guy with their cell phone.
They’re all from India right now. And way out of our jurisdiction sadly. It’s extremely frightening that someone actually showed up with handcuffs. A ton of people don’t know that in canada people aren’t arrested for owing taxes. Yikes.
