Edmonton police's vice squad say they've arrested the leader of a city prostitution ring.
Police said the crimes involved massage parlours throughout the city.
One business was near 150 Street and 118 Avenue, while the other was near 95 Street and 76 Avenue.
During the investigation, six women were removed from the business and sent home to the Toronto area.
“It's this assistance from the public that is helping us battle this problem and assist women who have been victimized by it,” said Staff Sgt. John Fiorilli, with the Edmonton police vice section.
“We can't tackle this issue alone. We need everyone's help.”
Dennis Fitzpatrick Huggins, 58, is facing 13 charges related to keeping a bawdy house, living off the avails of prosititution, and proceeds of crime.
