So I got call from a totally righteous SP lady who had accidentally received an email intended for me. Basically after you're a whore, no morals, think about the children, yadda, yadda, she went on to say that she was going to make me (and the anon SP because we saw the same bloke) pay by having our kids taken away.

CPS had already been to this SP's house and given the all-clear but she was freaked and called me.

I know an investigation isn't an arrest or conviction of anything, so I was like "Yeah, so what?" My daughter is special needs and so I already know everyone who works in the ministry in my area through that, and more importantly, they know me. I'm known as a great Mom by reputation already. I suppose there are advantages to living in a small town :D

Anyways, I don't know who else is on this totally understandably angry wife's list, but just so you're not surprised by a CPS visit, as they have to investigate every claim, even ones that they look at and think, "This is bullshit."

Don't freak out! If you aren't doing anything illegal, and being an SP is not illegal, and your children aren't in harms way, don't worry.

Neither of us have any clue who the guy is.

Last year Someone made a report on me also, cps did an investigation and gave the all clear. They said very matter of factly, they do not remove children based on the fact alone that mom is an SP, it is IF the child is subjected to the work... It's pretty sad when people have nothing better to do than try and bring single moms down like that.
If you're friend (or anyone else facing a similar situation) needs an advocate, I would strongly suggest contacting Susi, she'll have your back!
Good luck!

I imagine that making threats like that, and then filing a complaint with CPS without having any legitimate reason is illegal.

Contact the RCMP and get them to track this woman down, and have her charged for making false reports. It is not OK for her to behave in this manner.

@the Meat Market!!!lol
i have a letter from the deputy minister of child and family development which states that sp's have nothing to fear and that being an escort is not reason enough to remove a child from the home. they also say that false / malicious reports are criminal in nature so if an investigation is started as a result of a bogus complaint, there can be criminal reprecussions for the one who made the report.

if anyone needs help in this regard or have questions about dealing with the ministry, please pm me and we can plan strategies together.
