And another sad election coming, probably May 2

:D Well, the back rooms people are always telling the candidates to "get out of the way and we'll elect you", so the campaign team for Ruth Ellen Brosseau got to test the theory that it's the party that elects people. Ruth Ellen Brosseau had been nominated as a "Flag Waver" (a candidate with no chance of election, there to fill the slate of 308 candidates), but now is an MP. She was interviewed today and apparently the NDP has had her in MP School teaching her her new job and setting up her offices. She says she has never been in the riding she now represents and didn't believe her election would hold until Elections Canada had ruled her election valid. I saw her on CTV, but nothing to link, so I'm linking the Vancouver Sun article.

I have only heard of the interview on telephone for a newspaper. She isn't the first or only current member of parliament without a clue, there's more than one that have been there for a few years already.

Both CBC and CTV have articles up now. CTV has what's obviously audio snippets of the longer interview on as a video. Of course, we can't talk about what is seen on TV before there is a link, can we? After all, it get's a little tiring being called a liar.

I have never called you a liar, Al; you may be over-enthusiastic in what you believe to have seen. I have merely drawn attention to a number of claims you made (which would certainly be "newsworthy" by the low standards of reporting during and after this campaign) to which there has never been an media reference (other than this forum) as having occurred. None of those claims were particularly important; they may even have had an "emotional truth" -- a defense I have found allowable for Michael Moore when he strays from strict fact in his documentaries; I don't believe him to be a 'liar' either. In this case, if CTV had an on-camera interview with her, I believe they would be using it rather than excerpts from the telephone interview with a newspaper. Sorry, I am just a natural skeptic that always looks for sources to back up claims of fact; it is in my nature.
