Wow. Thats my favorite team all the way back to when Bobby Ryan and Chris Pronger and Neidermeyer were there. I get to watch their home games Prime Time on Center ICE and for years Corey Perry and Getlalz have me memorized with the regular season brilliance.
But 3 years in a row of game 7 losses at home broke my back. What would you do as the owner of the Ducks who must be pretty pissed tonight. Trade Perry or Getlalz, guess their down low game is seen one too many times by the elite teams to get beat by them.
Trade one of the young D men, like Lindholm, Vantaen, Fowler for a clutch foward?
I don't want to put any more heart into this group. Maybe I will root for San Jose next year.

in my opinion, it wasn't the players who decided on the strategy of taking themselves out of the game tonight by playing such a rough, hard hitting game against the supremely disciplined black hawks

the blame for that lies a little bit higher up the food chain

I am just happy Ryan Kesler didn't get his cup or at least a chance of playing for the cup.

The Hawks just wore down the Ducks last 2 games by not hitting back! You're right VC all that running around extra hitting took a toll on Stoner and Beauchemin.
The benching of James Wizenski is a shame as well as not keeping Emerson Etem in the lineup every game, both have speed to burn to take on Chicago's rushes.

when the playoffs started I was cheering for my Habs, and when they got bounced my mantra was ABA, as in Anyone But Anaheim.

I've got nothing against approx. 90% of the Ducks' organization but, like tokugawa, I did NOT want to see Ryan Jerk-boy Kesler, get to lift Stanley.

the pouting prick also has a way of putting his foot in his mouth,i.e. in the 2010 Gold Medal Game,in an interview he said "Loo is fighting the puck".next thing you know,
Loo shuts the door in OT and Canada has Gold.

in this series he said something like "no human can stand up to this pounding" well, the Hawks managed ok, and made J-boy look sorry in the process.

I suspect many in the Canucks' organization are having a chuckle today....schadenfreud(sp?)

I was surprised by the Team 1040 poll with 77% cheering for the Hawks. Kes leading the charge to the Hawks. What about Duncan Keith's elbow to Daniel's head knocking him out for much of the playoffs?

Kes was quoted as saying the Hawks wouldn't be able to stand the constant pounding on the boards. Ah wrong :)

Kesler blows. Modern day Benedict arnold. The hockey gods will not allow you to pick your team and win a cup. Rarely ever happens...especially to douche bags like kesler..

Pat Kane doesn't get the respect he deserves.. its all Toews even when he is bad that gets all the glory cause he is Canadian.

I'm expecting Hawks to win the Cup with another big series from Kane.

right here and now
It's simple. The Duck's were out-coached. Period.

I think Kane gets respect&credit, he's definitely a clutch guy. Also, determined in his rehab from a serious injury,he returned approx. 2-3 weeks sooner than expected.

Toews is a real leader,no doubt, 2 late goals gave Hawks a chance in Game 5 and 2 early goals set the tone for Game 7.J-boy was unable to stop him.

Tampa is a talented young team who s/b contenders for yrs,but I think the Hawks have the edge here. They have depth and experience.
If Crawford continues to play well,Hawks s/b ok.

Out coached and out willed. No line shuffles by Coach Q no matter what. While Boudreau kept moving pieces showing panic when all it did was mess with chemistry. Like that fourth line of Rackell, Etem, and Sejkac, they were flying early on.

anyone here think the Finals will be over very quick
or will it go to 7th and deciding game?

while I haven't seen much of TBay this year, or the East for that matter,
I do like how Stammer has willed his way coming back from that injury.
he competes hard and can dish out the checks.

did anyone pick TBay getting to the Finals?

on the hardwood, it's Warriors vs Cavs.
looking forward to this one as well.

impressed at how LeBron is becoming the consumate pro
as he gets older and more mature about the game.

they'llhave a tough time winning it in Anaheim(sorry, couldn't resist,lol)

an older observer compared this to the early 80's when a young Oilers team lost to a veteran Islandes squad....and learned from it, going on to
multi parties with Stanley.

possible to see TB lose this year but win cpl times in the next 4-5 yrs.

most ppl seem to be picking Golden State over the Cavs.

in each sport the West is the betting fav, but in sports, upsets happen.
