So, on impulse, I decided I wanted a "quickie" after lunch today
I haven't been to the fox den in some time (1-2 yrs or so) but had been numerous times before that
I looked on Carman Fox's site, and checked the schedule
Callie looked good, and she was well reviewed online here
I called to make a 30 minute appt.
I spoke to Belle at the "office", and she told me Callie wasn't available until 5
She then told me Paige was available now, and she was very similar to Callie, and that their service levels were the same, and she was very popular, etc
I hadn't read any reviews of Paige, but looked quickly at the photos on their site
I agreed to make an appt. with Paige
Upon arrival, I paid my fee, and was taken into the room by Paige
I had a quick shower, and then joined her on the bed
Very shortly it was apparent Paige was a "restrictions heavy" girl (no DFK, FK, for example))
No offense to her, but that is not usually the type of girl I choose to book with
(historically at the den, I had seen Yolanda, Tawnie, Isabelle, TTT - all provided more of a GFE experience)
(For the kind of money the den charges, I look for/expect a GFE experience)
Paige and I came to the conclusion we weren't clicking
She offered to go see if there was another girl working who might be more suitable
I offered to tip her for her time and yes - to switch to another girl if they were available - I asked if Tawnie was working, as she had been listed on the schedule
The lady at reception buzzed me on the intercom, and told me basically that all girls working at the Den were safe safe safe - so if I wanted that type of GFE I would have to look elsewhere. Tawnie wasn't available on short notice, either. It was suggested I call the office.
I did, and spoke to Belle again. I told her that although Paige was a lovely girl her service levels were not what I usually expected. I was looking to either switch providers or get a refund or a discount on my next incall or something. I did say I would tip Paige for her time, if I was able to switch providers.
Belle said she was sorry, but she didn't think anything like that was going to happen.
I reminded her I had asked to see Callie originally, and it was on her recommendation that I had decided to see Paige. I reminded her she had told me that they had similar service levels.
She said that in fact Paige had a higher service level listed than Callie - she said Paige was listed as GFE and Callie was Open Minded (which is not correct - I just looked on the site and they are both listed as GFE...)
But either way, none of the girls at the den would ever do anything that wasn't totally safe and that any reviews I had read elsewhere weren't relevant and that I couldn't expect all girls to do all things etc etc etc
Basically I was SOL and, out of time, as I really did only have an hour to slide out of work and back again
I left it with Belle she would talk to Carman and call me back.
I dressed and left. (I told Paige I was sorry for the confusion)
(no further service having been provided - I ran out of time)
Belle called me back about 30 min later and so sorry, no refund, no discounts.
She repeated her point about how reviews from sites like PERB weren't to be taken seriously and that customers shouldn't have expectations based on them
I reminded her again I saw Paige because she suggested it, and she had said "service levels were the same" as for Callie
Also that I had seen foxes in the past and all of their service had been excellent
She said I should have asked outright what services I was looking for and she could have told me at that time that Paige didn't offer them
(well, in hindsight, that sounds great, but I believed her when she told me what she did originally)
We rang off, with her apologising, but no - nothing for me as far as compensation
so, what I have taken away from this is:
if you are calling to book a specific girl, stick to your guns
don't let Belle or any of the phone girls try to talk you into anything
the only true touchstone for value/experience is the reviews online here
no matter what they say on the phone, clearly their mandate is to get you in the door and get your money
and not do much after to help you out if you aren't satisfied
(although I hadn't been recently, I was a many year customer and multiple visit client of the den - you would think based on customer service notions they would do something for me - even if it was a discount on my next incall)
so, I will not be returning to the den - my lesson is learned
I usually of late have been seeing independents (like Irresistible Isabelle) and will stick to that caliber of service and lady in the future

note: I have edited my original post. After re-reading it, I realized that some of my statements could be misinterpreted as they pertained to other SP's I referenced. I was using them as examples of good GFE experiences. I wasn't offering blanket statements about services they did or didn't provide. Every SP is unique and of course YMMV. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused. The point of this post was to caution my fellow perbites about the fox den, not offer micro reviews of past experiences. I have received PM's regarding not the issue at the den but my prior experiences. This seemed bass ackwards to me, thus my little edit and update here.
