After meeting with another fellow member last week in a Vancouver Pub I brought up the following subject and his reaction was basically that he had never thought about it before, but yes it is probably true.

The topic was: Does this board have some (possibly many) 14-15-16 year olds? Could they possibly be living out their fantasies in these discussions until they are old enough to get jobs and truly experience what most of us are already experiencing.

I do not wish to be flamed here, but I have some suspicions about who some of these might be. I am quite certain some of you will have the same suspicions.

I am introducing the idea so maybe some of the members who seem to enjoy the debates can hash this out.

I am currently at home now recovering from another great North and as I have said many times before: Enjoy what you have there because it could be a lot worse elsewhere.

I'm not sure, but my sense is that this does happen.

There is just no end of guys on here that go on and on about what a rich hot stud they are, but then - if they keep posting long enough - they will start to say things that give them away as a young kid behind the computer.

There is nothing wrong with being a young kid that would like to see SPs, but all the bravado gets tiresome... to say the least. I don't think there is really any way to address this problem though, at least not without harming the privacy of eveyone else on perb (such as by demanding a credit card number, etc. If perb asked for that, I'd be outta here permanently)

As an aside, it is illegal to obtain "for consideration" (money, gifts, etc.) the sexual services of a person under 18. However, I do not believe that there is any law that prevents a person under 18 from obtaining for consideration the sexual services of a person over 18. The only limiting factor would be the age of consent, which is 14 in Canada.

So a 14 year old, if he saved up enough money, could see an SP. And as long as there was no communication in public for the purposes of prostitution, it would all be perfectly legal.

Hopefully I don't get banned for discussing this. I'm just giving you my interpretation of the Criminal Code. If anyone knows something more, please let me know.

SFMIKE, I think that you raise an excellent point based on the immaturity and limited perspicacity consistently displayed by some of our "members".

i have noticed recently that some of the posters have expressed themselves in a manner that is way beyond our usual perbian immaturity ...there are, in fact, about 5 newer members who fit the profile mentioned above.

Perhaps you could coax the youngsters into finding entertainment elsewhere by peppering your reviews with words like "perspicacity".

....or maybe the next generation of pooners will just become an especially articulate bunch.

so if its cool for young boys to visit sp's is it cool for young girls of the same age to want to BE SP's?

I am curious as to how many youngins the track boys (hatrick, hitrack, mustangjoe etc) see out on their cruises. In no way am i suggesting that the cruisers would ever be interested in them (have you read hatricks thread about the old hairy chick who dressed like a secretary?). I am most curious if they simply "see" it.

Finally I am not trying to associate the young street urchins with the young girls mentioned in the first paragraph, obviously young homeless girls on the street with drug problems is a major problem in the lower mainland. I am discerning the 2 with the visual of a teenage girl sitting by her computer in her parents cozy house while she dreams of being "glamorous" like a Heidi Starr or one of the foxes, or any other purported "top -shelf" Sp

now that's old

I haven't seen a reference to the Omega man in ages.

The days of going along Broadway around Fraser and down to Clark are long gone.....there was a time when that was an amazing stretch of roadway....sigghhhhh

Watching Leave It To Beaver did indeed pay educational benefits. I must thank Ward Cleaver for introducing me to the word perspicacity. Describe the episode and win a prize!

Is it the episode where Beaver and Wally get into something over their heads and then Ward gives them some good 1950s wisdom about using sound perspicacity when making choices and considering the consequences of those choices. Then Beav and Wally say, "Gee Dad, you're the greatest" ?

Did I win the prize

Give me the specific circumstances of the episode (and how Ward uses the word) to win. Your answer is, unfortunately, incorrect.

Did someone forget to take their Ritilin this morning?

Things have taken such a twist that the original thought was lost. Inability to concentrate could be a sign some of the teens here need to up their dosage.

I started this thread and I cannot remember what it was all about. But, my excuse is that I am senile. No drugs will cure that.

Episode:
"The Paper Route" Episode: #1.17

Circumstances:
I won't bore you with the details (that and google won't tell me)

Usage of the word:
Ward uses the word "perspicacity" in referrence to Mr. Merkel

I feel I've earned a prize. I also feel that I prefer the term "Incorrigible Man-Bait" over "Jocund".

I prefer words that can be found in any Dr. Seuss book.

Take the Bible for instance:

Guy 1: What shall we do with this upitty Jew?

Guy 2: We can wash him in wine and make him all clean and into Sam Zittle's crucifixion machine!!!

Guy 3: Twirl the gawhirl and release the gavlease and in go the nails as fast as you please. And it is said that he said as he bled

Jesus: Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do, for they walk through this life in two crappity shoes.

I have at times thougt a pm. was definitely coming from someone underage. The immaturaty of the content would send red flags for me. I would delete the pm. and hope to god that it was not some young boy that somehow dicovered this board. But then again how does one prove that? Not possible.

One of the disadvantages of technology. We can hide too easily.
